We stayed here for one night as we were attending a family party in the town, we were very impressed by the the greeting and we were taken up to our room which was a nice size and had a beautiful en- suite all of which was spotlessly clean. After a quiet nights sleep we went for breakfast and we...

Words cannot express the fantastic welcome you get upon arrival. First of all they greet you and then offer you a coffee or tea. Your are then shown to you room and it is the best we have ever stayed in of all our journeys around Britian. Everything is perfect. The breakfast is also the best we have had for...

We needed somewhere to stay for a function in Torquay and chose Walnut Lodge from the great reviews. Welcomed warmly by Tao with a tray of tea and biscuits on arrival, we were impressed with the beautiful building and tastefully furnished room we had on the ground floor. I had worried it would be noisy, but it was very quiet,...

Our hostess was very welcoming and ever-helpful, even protecting us with umbrellas when we were loading our car to leave. Our room was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and had extras: proper coffee, quality toiletries, bath robes. Breakfast was wonderful! The only criticism was the tiny car park spaces.

At last a seaside bed and breakfast whose owners actually enjoy welcoming people and making their stay pleasant and comfortable. The room although relatively small was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Much thought had obviously been put into the amenities on offer. The breakfast was excellent.

From the word go this was going to be an amazing stay. Tea and coffee on arrival. Spotless room with an excellent hospitality tray. Never stayed anywhere where the hospitality tray contained a cafetiere and ground coffee. Excellent toiletries in the bathroom and there were no complaints. You just knew that breakfast would be out of this world. It was....

We could not have been more pleased. The two days we spent in this lovely old mansion in July felt as if we were at home with friends. The owners were very welcoming, and there with answers to all of our questions. It's a handy walk to the harbour. Our room was very comfortable, and the food excellent. If you're...

On arrival I was shown to my room and offered Tea by the owner. He took time to answer questions about the local area and offered advice as to the best resteraunts and pubs. He aggreed to provide breakfast an hour earlier than usual and when it arrived it was superb. The room was well above the average for a...

We traveled as a group of 6 - 3 couples. The host was lovely, she gave us plenty of space although she was always there when you needed her to answer questions and give suggestions. All 3 rooms were impeccably clean, very comfy and had everything necessary. In the morning we've had a delicious English breakfast accompanied with fruits, milk/yogurt....

Best guest house I've stayed at in a long time. Great welcome to a guest house in pristine condition. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. A pleasant 15 minutes walk to the harbour/town centre and less than 5 mins to the train station.
