A friendly hotel in a prime position overlooking the Hoe and very convenient for access to the city. Good breakfast. The room was comfortable, newly refurbished and high floors had good views. We overlooked the Barbican. Adequate parking and reasonably priced, £3 a night. Some ongoing work on refurbishment, but we were not inconvenienced. Staff lovely, and a special mention...

Short break in Plymouth while looking at university for our daughter, chose Holiday Inn as an IHG club member, but a bit disappointed with this hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful and lots of them which makes a nice change. Lobby & penthouse restaurant/Bar floors really nice, good decor and service but bedroom in desperate need of update. Our room...

The location of the hotel is excellent, being just off the Hoe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found it quite annoying that we were unable to book our evening meals in the restaurant as it was fully booked for both nights. Fortunately though the Lounge Bar menu and food was very good. Our room on the 2cnd...

My colleagues and I arrived after a four hour train journey and, on booking in at reception, were told the restaurant was full. We thus had two options 'eat out' or have bar snacks.. Not an ideal start after a tiring day. It would have been helpful, at the time of booking,, several weeks earlier, to have been told reservations were...

Once again we chose this hotel because of its location, we had tickets for a gig at the Pavillions which is less than a 10 minute walk away. We were able to have a meal inn the hotel restaurant which we found to be newly refurbished and branded as a Marco Pierre White restaurant; the food and service was first...

This was the first time we had stayed here (we have stayed in many other Holiday Inns though). We chose it as it was central and offered car parking (we were aware of the renovations taking place). The car park is down a cul de sac on the opposite site to the entrance. We looked on google earth before we...

Stayed just one night whilst visiting our granddaughter at Uni. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent standard of the rooms and the hotel's public areas which have recently been refurbished. Our room was on the 9th floor some had a great view over the city, however if we had been staying longer we would have requested a room overlooking...

Stayed here as it is a two minute walk to our sons university accommodation, we are a return visitor and it is just right for us. We stayed on floor ten in a newly refurbished room, we had stunning views of the Barbican and harbour area, room clean and tidy, still a faint smell of new paint when you first...
