The hotel is very well located, within easy walking distance of main attractions in Plymouth. Being close to the rail station and with its own car park makes getting there simple. Our room was well furnished, a good size and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Copthorne on a Saturday night in August. The first challenge was finding the covered parking - ending up stopping in the next door Sainsburys car park while we went to reception to ask for directions (the stopping area outside the hotel was coned off for coaches). Once in though it did feel good to know the...

Great value hotel. £45 (per room, not per person) a night in January. One night stay but did exactly what it said on the tin! A Clean, spacious room. Yes, it is slightly dated, worn around the edges but for the price, exceptional. Comfy bed and great bathroom. So perfectly central in Plymouth. With secure, covered parking - worth the...

I stopped at this hotel with my wife on Saturday 18th July. Firstly the good points, central location. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The room appeared slightly dated but was very clean and had the normal Tea & coffee facilities and iron and ironing board..We normally stop at the IHG brand, however this being closer to our daughters location...

I have learnt a valuable lesson here! Never book a hotel based on the photos shown on another hotel booking site, I usually always look on trip advisor before booking anywhere but rushed this one. Very out of date decor, furnishings are worn and shabby, bathroom tatty. staff talk to each other as if you are not there? I really...

My colleague and I were servicing the radar at Wembury and work were paying for this hotel. My colleague got an upgraded room and 2 free drinks, I got a standard room and inoperable WiFi. However slept well and good breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Secure underground parking!

This isn't one of the most inviting hotels I have ever stayed at 1970's concrete and even worse 1980's interior decoration. This hotel has clearly not had much in the way of investment over the years, and it has gone way past tired and dated, still if they leave it long enough it may just come back into fashion. The...

Good hotel well positioned. Close to the railway station, but far enough away not to be disturbed by trains. In an uninspiring area (not their fault) but only 15 minutes walk to the Barbican. Room good (fourth floor), well appointed and very clean, bed comfortable, not too hard. Excellent range of toiletries and slippers. No air conditioning. Mini-bar fridge was...

Outdated 70s concrete structure at the top of Armada Way, Useful for the University and Station, short walk into the centre. Rooms perfectly adequate, and staff helpful. Car parking complicated and threatened to charge £7.50 for a 24 hour stay, -not mentioned, or actually charged- so rather confusing. A business hotel, with little character and not especial value for money,...

...but hasn't had a penny spent on it since. Very dated decor, an unpleasant smell in one of the lifts; like cheap deodorant sprayed to cover up an even worse smell. I was in a club "connoisseur" room which could've been a museum of tatty chipboard furniture. The hot breakfast buffet looked very unappealing. Flaccid bacon, cheap sausages etc. I...
