Probably the best hotel experience we have had and there have been many, the hotel is a Grade 11 listed building so like the Forth Bridge will always require maintenance and perhaps the bedrooms would benefit from a daily vacuum but given that, the rooms were absolutely charming and well appointed but the best things about this hotel are the...

Our first Goodmans Client Lunch was a great success and could not have happened without Toni, Mel and the team at The Duke of Cornwall in Plymouth. The hotel has a fantastic history and great character miles away from other clinical modern hotel venues we could have chosen.

Stayed here for one night on our way to Cornwall. The first disappointment was the size of the hotel car park. It's very small and it works on the basis of first come first served. The overflow car park is in the street outside and then customers are subject to the City's parking regulations which involves buying a parking ticket...

Thank you Wayne G for your review. I'm very pleased to hear that the evening and food was enjoyed. We had plenty of bar staff working that night so not sure why you only saw one of them?! I'm pleased they were polite and friendly, as they should be. We all enjoyed the evening too and I hope we can...

We stayed for one night to meet friends in Cornwall. Arriving early to have lunch with friends, our first encounter with reception was met with 'can't check in till 2pm'. No welcome at all. As we hadn't expected to check in early, it was a bad start. Things improved. The bar lunch was pleasant enough. When we eventually saw our...

Beautiful gothic hotel maintaining the charm of an old building but it is the little details that are lacking. Food isn't good-have had better - over cooked, deep fried and unhealthy. Bathroom shower head had a build up of mould and very musty smell in it. Room itself is so pretty and lovely old furniture but a lot of water/damp...

we stayed a Saturday night on a special offer for a standard room, could pull up at the front, great entrance, free car park at the back, lovely old world lobby and great staircase, first room we were shown had a window to the fire escape and cobwebs, after we complained, the second room was much better, painted wood panelling...

Beautiful Victorian hotel. After reading some reviews on here it exceeded my expectations. Room was huge and tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. We requested a quiet room ahead of our stay and we were given one at the back of the hotel that was very quiet. Car park was small but we managed to get a space. The shower...

The Duke of Cornwall did itself proud. The event was delivered with professionalism and politeness. The food was very good and the organization spot on. The place itself was clean & tidy and the toilets immaculate. Bar prices are what you would expect. A very good night.
