It's an old boozer and the rooms reflect that however there is no excuse for mouldy bathroom grout (there is a £6 spray in b and q called mould remover which would see this off in 20 minutes). The carpets are truly horrid and the general ambience is slightly depressing. The location is good. Just makes you wonder why the...

This hotel consists of rooms above a rather dated public house, and hotel check is at the pub bar. There are steep stairs up to the rooms (no apparent lift), with a filthy stair carpet that badly needs a deep clean or replacement. The room itself (room 13) was a reasonable size and appeared to have been upgraded in recent...

Just visited the bar for a drink and had a pint of Young's Special and it was served very short of a full pint. I asked for it to be topped up but appears from a discussion with the manager that the brewery has told them to serve the beer less than a pint! Insist on a full pint as...

After reading reviews, we had high hopes that this would be a good stay. The staff were excellent, the food was good and reasonably priced. We were in Room No.1 on the first floor which was nicely decorated and clean as was the bathroom. The bed was big and comfortable. The location is very convenient for visiting the Cathedral and...

I haf high hopes of this hotel from reading some reviews and seeing the online pictures but would advise others to take those with a pinch of salt. I was met by the receptionist who was sat beside the bar puffining on an e-cig... Highly unprofessional! Check in was slow as they did not know how to use the computer...

I stayed with friends for an overnight stay in Exeter. Really happy with the hotel, the rooms are lovely, beds are very comfortable and the bar downstairs a friendly atmosphere. I will definitely stay here again

I could only warrant giving this place 3/5. Main positives are the staff, the price, the location and nearby parking. The negatives are main Road location which is busy for most of the nihht. And when mangos arrive back at 0330 and can't get back I'n, that's not fun. Room 5 had loose bathroom tiles and a crappy selection of...

We ate inside as the weather was not brilliant so did not risk the garden. The food was very nice - I had the club sandwich - very fresh and chicken well cooked. A bit pricey in my opinion (food and drink) but it is an establishment in the city centre. Downside was they we had to wait quite a...
