This is a lovely pub in a beautiful setting. We had been here before for lunch and had a very good meal so we thought we would try the evening menu, what a disappointment it was. We arrived got a drink at the bar and was shown to our table. The first thing I had to do was change my...

Dear reviewer Thank you for taking the time to give such an in depth review of your visit. I am sorry that all the dishes were not to your taste and that you thought the port and red wine jus overpowered the taste of the chicken. This is not something that has been mentioned before regarding this very popular dish...

Great room with original features, incredible menu (try the steak and ale pie and fortified malbec), close enough to Exeter to not need to hire a car, easy journey from London (2 hours), lovely staff - felt more like family.

What an amazing place! We were raccomended this inn by our B&B owners... and it exactly was what we were looking for. Driving around Dartmoor extra-narrow streets eventually we approched a traditional inn covered with dark wood paneling, beam ceiling and some working fireplaces here and there. The menu is quite traditional, but it combines recipes from the past with...

Like going back in time - the peacefulness and beauty of the surroundings and the history of the place itself make it a memorable experience. The building is old but generally well kept. the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food and drink are of a good standard. The rooms are small and beds comfortable with all the basic functions...

Stopped by the Nobody Inn today for a late lunch. We ate outside in the peaceful surrounds. Delicious steak and kidney pie, and a sensational ploughman's (the ham and local cheese were particularly great). Ice creams to finish were excellent. Friendly and attentive service!

Lovely welcome from Sue on a busy Sunday afternoon with the Queen's 90th celebration happening on the little green just outside the Inn. A very happy and calm atmosphere in the bar and restaurant always. Very polite and accommodating staff. Our room no 4 was very well appointed, light, airy, high ceiling with a view to the front and the...

Very expensive for the standard of room, sadly disappointed. Food was also not up to standard you would expect. Staff were openly disregarding some poor feedback they had from a previous visitor, whilst we were waiting to be served. Had to pre order breakfast the night before, and then had to wait over half an hour for it. We will...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our Inn. I am unable to comment on feedback to a previous visitor but can assure that all feedback good or poor is never disregarded. Our room rate is £99 per niight for 2 people including breakfast. A most comparable rate for this area. All our rooms are extremely...

The range of whiskys behind the bar is vast, but this is of no interest to me, what I do like is a meat pie that is a pie, shortcrust pastry base and top cooked together and this is what I had put in front of me one Friday lunchtime. Apart from the pie what I liked about this pub...

An excellent dinner and nights sleep in deep rural Devon. We were very lucky to stumble across this Pub on Trip Advisor and all the reviews were correct - the food is very good, the rooms are very comfortable (with the added bonus of a decanter of sherry) and the atmosphere in the pub very friendly. I would definitely recommend...
