Set in a quieter square within walking distance of city centre. Parking is pay and display 7days a week and starts from 8am -6pm, however like many other city centres you expect this. Receptionist friendly enough on arrival. Large room with large bathroom was clean. We returned to the hotel at 11.20pm (this was the Saturday before Christmas) was informed...

We stayed here for one night and chose the hotel partly because of its position - half way between Exeter St David's train station (where we arrived) and Exeter Cathedral (which we were visiting). The welcome could have been friendlier. We had room 103 which was at the back of the hotel overlooking a couple of vent pipes (from the...

Great hotel very near the centre of town but in a quiet location. Room was clean, bright and well kept. Staff were very frendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - even catered for my veggie friend! Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable hotel. Convenient car park at the front of the hotel although pay and display.

We came by train, it is nearer to Exeter Central than St Davids and a level walk more or less whereas from St Davids you are coming up a long hill. We had what I think was a larger than usual room overlooking the rear of the building. It was very well equipped and VERY quiet. The internet in my...

Really enjoyed our stay here, the location was perfect for walking into town, and the breakfast was really tasty. Can't argue with the price either, so very happy with that. Only thing to mark down was the cleanliness, and overall attention to detail around the hotel. The carpet needed a good clean, and the cleaning equipment needs to put away...

A pleasant choice of hotel if you need access to the Central station and the shopping area. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the good sized bedrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable with crisp white duvets. The breakfast is simply delicious with lots of variety. I particularly liked the fact that the eggs were cooked to order and were...

Stayed 2 years ago and last week. Thought the hotel had gone down. Reception utalitarion. Can't entirely blame them with the footfall this area gets. Last time very welcoming receptionist. This time repeatedly rung bell but waited 5 minutes. Did receive an apology. Mistakes happen. BIG FAULT, room with 2 single beds put together, not bad because tall husband fitted...

Pros: Room very modern. Well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location. Cons: Parking is impossible unless you're very lucky. You've got 2 options, the car park next to the hotel which is 80p/hour and you'll have to get a new ticket at 8am. Or find an illusive "J" permit parking spot around the roads near the hotel - this...

Location ideal for short walk to town cathedral and shopping, quay little further. Last minute booking - room fairly small for a double and shower had to be held to get any water out. Reception staff made the visit - really friendly pleasant & very helpful. Breakfast cooked was really tasty - eggs benedict yum. Parking worked fine for me...

Nice hotel situated in the heart of Exeter but the parking situation is a nightmare if you want to get in your room before 9pm. The council run carpark based on front of the hotel is free over night when you can get a place and you need to be out by 8am before you get charged Overall an average...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Trip Advisor Award of excellence for the past 4 years is testament to the care and quality of this family run hotel in the heart of Exeter. The Queens Court Hotel is a beautiful Georgian town house situated on a leafy square in a city, which dates back to the medieval ages. All rooms are well appointed, all with en-suites. Relax in the bar and lounge or sit outside on the terrace. Visit the jewel in the crown of the Queen's Court, The Olive Tree restaurant. Multi-award winning, dine amongst the Venetian masks and enjoy the produce of the West Country. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked for you, drawing influences from Italy and the Mediterranean. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the high street, main train stations and very conveniently placed for the University. It is also fortunate to have a public car park on its doorstep that is free overnight and very reasonably priced in the day. Exeter is positioned in the Heart of Devon making it a great location to experience everything the West Country has to offer. ... more   less
