I stayed here as it was reasonably cheap. However, the room was pretty rough and the breakfast room was definitely worn out. The breakfast was mediocre at best but the staff member did his best to help. You can get much higher standard B&Bs in the area for the same money - that's what I will be doing. There is...

Rooms are from the 70's and shabby and rundown. Broken and worn furniture And fittings, cracked tiles, bathroom is horrible to the point I don't want to shower in it. But it was cheap and I could use my hotels.com redeem night and only pay a small amount to cover taxes so I got what I paid for. Breakfast has...

This is one of the best hotels in Cornwall I've ever stayed at, and trust me most are awful, i think most of the negative reviews are made by Devonian people trolling and putting bad reviews on here to be nasty, this hotel is a dream and ticks all boxes......EXCELLENT MUCHLY LOVE SWEET BABY JEBUS

Room was comfortable and clean, tea coffee in room , water pressure in shower was very good . Bed comfortable also has double glazing. The corridors are horrendous wall paper dirty and damp carpets filthy in need of urgent renovation . My room was ok but dread to think of the others . For the price I paid £37 it...

We asked to change our room but was told there wasn't a better one. Odd tiles in the en suite, water running from the toilet handle when flushed, tatty furniture, unlevel floor, old dated lamp shades, my partner had to crouch down in the shower as it was so low and the water was intermittently boiling hot. There were stains...

Visited for a friends birthday and had only planned to stay in the hotel for a few hours sleep. I couldn't believe places like this still exist. Very run down and probably needs knocking down and starting again. I'm writing this as the staff are lovely and work with what they have. The room was grubby and falling apart, although...

Bathroom door would nit shut and did not fit door frame, no heating or ventilation in bathroom, Light did not work above washbasin, new toilet badly fitted, cracked tiles. Hotel needs much TLC. Money seems to be spent on the public bar area which needs to be spent improving the accommodation.

Stayed here to break rail journey on way to Cornwall. Excellent location immediately outside Exeter St Davids station. Whole hotel has a railway theme. Real ales in a quiet bar area. Room was clean and spacious. Quiet. Classic feel to hotel: the corridors and common passageways were clean but decorated in an outdated style; room had obviously recently been redecorated...

Hotels should advertise their accessibility for disabled people. Despite my asking for a ground floor room as I'm on crutches all their rooms are upstairs.. The rooms are quite outdated but were clean and functional. Bed was comfortable and had a new flat screen tv. The staff were very helpful nonetheless. Took my bag up to my room. Breakfast was...
