Stayed here with a large group of friends. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they interacted with everyone from the kids to the grandparents in the group making everyone feel at home. Sounds a bit silly but I liked that the tables in the dining room were set at angles to...

Easter bank holiday weekend stay. We felt relaxed and at home from the outset as the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great room on the first floor (superior double), which overlooked the gardens. It was very clean, light and spacious with a large comfy bed, 2 easy chairs, a desk and lots of storage space. We...

I organised the booking for 26 people involved in a rugby team on the way to a game next day, and some others joined in as well. Most arrived on a coach on Good Friday evening after an extended journey. The receptionist was excellent, calmly sorting out rooms and taking names, etc quickly and smoothly. She did well throughout our...

We were flying from Exeter Airport and as we live in West Wales we needed a hotel room at both ends of the holiday and parking in between. We tried Holiday Extras but as usual they were useless when it came to real choice and value, but a trawl through the hotels in Exeter produced Gypsy Hill - the benefits...

Just returned from a great church weekend hosted by Gipsy Hill. The staff couldn't have been more helpful to our needs. We booked out whole hotel which meant it really felt like home from home. Food suburb, great company. Winner! If you want something slightly more individual and just off the beaten track this is for you.

The bed was very comfy, the fittings and decor in the room and bathroom (and in the hotel more generally) were clean albeit a bit dated. Wi-Fi was reasonable but the signal was patchy and there was a different network you had to use depending where you were which was a little frustrating. Staff were helpful and courteous and overall...

Booked this hotel on the spur of the moment through Laterooms and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a semi-rural setting just off junction 29 of the M5 and very handy for the Honiton Road Park and Ride if you want to explore Exeter. My partner and I had a 'small' double room which was prettily appointed and...
