Very homey B and B with good food and lots of choice. Handy to the Cathedral and he quay. Very friendly. Ran into a few folks with dogs. Lovely because we are missing ours! Our room had a double bed and a day bed.

The Telstar is a perfectly located guesthouse for a fleeting visit to Exeter, being less than 5 minutes walk from the train station, university, and the city center. The greeting at the accommodation was super friendly, and they happily provided a takeaway breakfast as I was checking out early. My stay would have received 5 stars if it weren't for...

Stayed here in room 19 right at the top of the house. Very clean but basic room with little space. The bed was comfortable but creaked so badly it woke me a couple of times in the night. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had and the staff were very polite, attentive and friendly. Overall happy but please...

Nice room, good full English breakfast and very serviceminded and polite staff. The hotel is 5 min. walk from the train station and the same distance to the centre of Exeter. We really enjoyed our stay and will highly recommend Telstar to other visitors

We searched for a 'dog friendly' place to stay as we were traveling with our Cocker Spaniel. This place looked too nice for a dog friendly hotel so I checked first. We were had a very friendly and efficient welcome and we're shown the room - we were not disappointed ! It was beautifully presented and it was evident each...

Very accommodating owner/staff very willing to change rooms if available. Also, due to an anticipated early Saturday morning start was offered some takeaway sandwiches instead of breakfast which was good. Then, even after revising our departure time that meant we could have at least some breakfast we were still given the sandwiches to eat later. That's what I call excellent...

My partner and I stayed here for a night while we were down to watch Ulster vs Exeter Chiefs on the Sunday (sadly we lost). What a beautiful building and fantastic staff! The breakfast was probably THE best I've ever eaten, all the better for being locally sourced and produced. The sausages, in particular were outstanding. Really genuinely faultless, and...

We booked this hotel for it's location and offer of a family room. It is very well placed for the town centre, train station and university. It was an easy check in with the lovely receptionist. It is really cute. A little courtyard with parking at the rear, and a little garden to catch the last of the rays. We...

Stayed for a long weekend for a Christmas Shopping Trip. Close to centre of Exeter 10 mins walk. Breakfast was delicious all freshly cooked to order. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good selection of tea and coffee etc in room. Could do with thicker curtains in ground floor room. Overall a really nice place to stay and would definitely go...
