Looks dowdy from the outside. Dated décor on the inside . A pub that does b and b. However we had a lovely stay in a very clean room in a dog friendly establishment with super breakfasts and able to get a drink and sit in the gardens. Seems to have a returning client base.

Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights. The staff and owners of the hotel were lovely and very friendly. People are saying rooms are outdated. Yes but at the end of the day, the rooms were clean and comfortable. That's the most important thing. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. We eat there once and had a... More

We had to wait a while as we arrived before 12.00 but could sit in the bar with our drink by the window. We wasn't told when the carvery was ready. We were able to choose from beef and gammon. My husband had both but I just had the gammon. We both received Yorkshire puddings. Also had carrots, cabbage, cauliflower... More

If I hadn't pre booked we would have walked right out. The bar and dining area were gloomy and stale even on a lovely summer's day. Our family room was so tired, no handle on the bathroom, wardrobe, no bulb above the sink. Felt like the decor hadn't been changed since 1988. Peeling paint and the most uncomfortable mattress I... It's hard to find anything good to say about this place. I never once got any eye contact from any member of staff, let alone a smile. Room was dirty and out dated. WE stayed on a Saturday evening and the pub was virtually empty save for a couple of locals, despite every other in the village being packed to... More

There was no welcome from the owners, I still don't know who the owners are ... We were shown to room 6 by a young lad, first thing you notice is that you can't see out of the window because the double glazing was all cloudy. The room was very dated, dark furniture and bedding, the en suite was ok... More
