One of the best rooms we have ever stayed in and excellent value for money. We stayed in Rose room which had a balcony with a view , a brass bed and a settee. Breakfast was excellent and John was the perfect host. Wish we had planned to stay longer.

We stayed here in July and would highly recommend this beautiful, clean, tidy, well-kept house. The bedroom and bathroom was bright and spacious. The full English breakfast served in the charming stylish wood-panelled dining-room was fabulous. John is the perfect host. He made us most welcome. We would certainly return here. What's not to love? John is a gracious, warm, welcoming innkeeper who shows genuine interest in his guests. He is engaging without being intrusive and exceeds all your needs before you know you need them! Just the view upon walking up to Lewis's gives you sense that you have come home. John welcomes you into a lovely light and bright...

Everything about our stay was lovely from our room with a balcony overlooking the garden and the sea in the distance to a fabulous breakfast with fresh strawberries! The house and gardens are beautiful with places to sit outside (weather depending of course). The house is in walking distance to the entrance to Tintagel Castle heritage site, shops, pubs, and...

Sadly just returned home from Lewis's in Tintagel. I say sadly as John made it very hard to leave again. This fabulous gentleman and his fabulous home are simply wonderful. The breakfasts set us up for whole day. The rooms were mega comfortable and spotless. Cant wait to return very soon. Thank you John xx

From the first contact with John Lewis I was impressed that he was so responsive to answering my questions in regard to my future stay. As it was my first visit to Tintagel, and it was coming towards the end of my planned itinerary I wanted to be sure it would suit. It was all we needed and more. The...

Yet again John has been our perfect host! Our fourth visit was all we expected. The accommodation, bed, food and comfort were excellent (how could we expect less?) If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, cosy, old English environment in which to relax and feel very welcome, and a knowledgeable and often very funny, delightful host, go to Lewis's...

The real king is John! He and his Lewis's House from 1560 are great. The rooms are small, but very cosy and lovely. All rooms with own bath. And the inside of the house is from another century. So you get in the best mood to visit Tintagel castle!!! Thanks John for this perfect accomodation!

We had the turret room. Very spacious with 4 poster bed and settee. Small en-suite but absolutely sufficient and spotlessly clean. Wide choice of hot & cold breakfast - all well presented and excellently cooked. John was a most attentive and informative host who clearly loves making your stay special. On site parking an added bonus. Close by the King...
