This is a very special place for a good value three course lunch. The dining room has the most amazing light and incredible views of the sea. Staff here are lovely and very accommodating. It's a real treat, a must do in St Mawes.

My wife and I stopped for two nights with breakfast, a crab sandwich for a light lunch and dinner on the 29/30 th of January 2017. The food and service was first class and very friendly. Our accommodation was superb complete with a log fire. Will be back again , same time or year the hotel was busy but very...

St Mawes is delightful no better time than planning a visit during the quiet season and to enjoy a perfect winter retreat walking on the beach and the costal paths during the day. Our stay in the Tresanton Hotel was a perfect retreat, fabulous rooms, attentive staff and a world class restaurant, what more could one ask for; well we...

Dear Woburnman Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel after your recent stay and I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us as well as your birthday lunch. I could not agree more with your comment that Cornwall, and in particular the Roseland, has so much to offer even in the winter months! A...

Four of us stayed for just one night. We all wished it had been longer! The service was impeccable. Staff were on hand at every juncture to help my Mum who has difficulty walking and managing stairs. Our rooms were picture perfect with wonderful sea views. The beds were comfy with good quality bed linen, duvets and pillows. We enjoyed...

We had booked a weekend some way in advance and paid a deposit. Sadly a close friend died and the funeral was that weekend (unusual). I enquired to see if we could change dates, not high season, but they said NO WAY. So there went our deposit.

Tresanton is not a conventional seaside hotel, it’s a little quirky, certainly up market and well known for its owner’s celebrity status. We have stayed there before, (a long time ago) and felt we knew what to expect. When you arrive by car you must park on double yellow lines and climb two flights of steps to reach reception where...

The old American sailing club has been turned into maybe the best coastal boutique hotel in Cornwall. It feels like a home. Stylish and elegant. Brilliant terrace with beautiful bay views. Quirky details such as the dog bar and other hidden delights make this place really special. Dog friendly. An ideal holiday destination hotel.

There is a three course set menu which includes a glass of wine for £27 or thereabouts. You can eat this in the elegant restaurant with lovely sea views or more casually in the welcoming lounge with a blazing log fire. One took the set three courses and the other two courses but took a starter from the carte. This...

Having stayed at the Tresanton many times since it opened, my opinion remains the same; there is no competitor in St Mawes, perhaps even in the whole Roseland Peninsula. The friendly staff seem to genuinely care about your wellbeing and the enjoyment of your stay, which is a nice change from the surly, disinterested behaviour of staff of many establishments...

Our third Christmas in this beautiful hotel. A Christmas present from my lovely daughter. From the view to the decoration the staff and the food all blissfully wonderful. My daughter is a vegan and there was no problem for them. All the staff are exceptional but I have to say that Anna is star of the show... Absolutely charming in...
