Stayed here two mid week nights in April. This is a very comfortable B&B located a 10 minute scenic walk into St Mawes. We received a lovely welcome by the hosts Tim & Amelia. Both were very helpful providing plenty of tourist advice & local information. We stayed in the 'Cabin' a very comfortable room overlooking the front garden, it...

Tim and Amelia's beautiful home gives a friendly, warm welcome. Relaxed and easy going, but rooms to die for, spotless and with incredible attention to detail, we could find nothing that wasn't perfect. Tea and coffee were available all day, and there was a tin with little cakes in, a little touch that was very much appreciated. Breakfasts were lovely,...

Not only are you visiting one of the most beautiful parts of the country but, with Amelia and Tim's incredibly warm, relaxed and enthusiastic hospitality, you can't fail to have a gorgeous time. Nearwater is rightly labelled luxury b&b - the rooms ooze style and quality and the breakfast is sublime. But on top of this, it's the extra attention...

A warm welcome,Beautiful, spotless rooms top quality sheets and towels etc. Billed as a luxury B&B there are no trade descriptions issues here. We stayed at Nearwater for the weekend as we were visiting St Mawes for some pre-wedding planning and we wanted to see just how good Nearwater was given that we have pre-booked all of their rooms in June for some of our wedding guests. I can safely say that I need not have worried because it is simply perfect. The...

A boutique B&B seems really right for this. Amelia and Tim were great hosts for the St Mawes experience (5 mins walk to several restaurants and the harbour for boat trips). Clean and very comfortable rooms are beautifully modern/contemporary design (family home). Our brief stay only whets the appetite for a return visit to use the organised walking Tim offers...

Nearwater has the feel of a boutique hotel rather than a B & B and why we returned again this autumn to enjoy the graceful comfort and relaxed quiet efficiency where little touches (such as delicious little homemade biscuits on our return to our room in the afternoon) make the difference between a really pleasurable and memorable stay against the...

Myself and my wife stayed at the Nearwater bed and breakfast in Saint Mawes, for our pre honeymoon (or as my wife called it our Mini Moon). From the wonderful drive down to the location right up to the front door we knew we were going somewhere special! On arriving we found that the owners Amelia and Tim were just...

We'd been to St. Mawes briefly on another trip and decided to stay for a few nights on our next trip to Cornwall, and we picked out Nearwater. In a quiet location a few minutes' walk from the town centre, just a minute from the Percuil river and with its own offstreet parking, it was an excellent base for walks...

We had a two night mid-week break for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Nearwater has the presentation of a quality modern hotel, with the warmth and welcome from wonderful hosts. We found an easy balance of privacy and great conversation and advice where requested, and with the added bonus of being able to bring the...
