We were going to be in Paris but due to circumstances beyond our control we made a quick plan to go to St Ives, The last minute nature of our visit was such that we had a limited choice and the cheaper hotels and B&B's were booked. On the Plus side the Parking was really easy and the view from...

Have just returned from a three night stay. The bed was comfortable and the room had a lovely sea view, however, the en-suit was tiny! Breakfast was OK, but some fresh fruit and a greater range of cereal would have been nice. Cooked breakfast only available 8:30 till 9:00, when another guest asked for an earlier breakfast, we could hear...

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a nice room on the top floor with amazing sea views. The staff were very friendly and accommodated to our needs (we needed to be out early so they set out breakfast for us), and when we were there, the cooked breakfast was good. It is in a good location and is a 5...

Nice and cosy B&B, close to train station (less 5 minutes walk), silence at night, friendly staff (they even gave us chocolate eggs for Easter), good english breakfast (egg, bacon, mushrooms, sausages, toast, tea), comfortable beds, but small bathroom.

There are lots of mixed reviews, so I'm going to list positives and negatives. My boyfriend and I stayed here during Easter, the weather wasn't great - which was a shame, as St Ives is beautiful in the sun. The positives: Friendly staff Good location from a beach and short drive into town Room 3 - comfy bed Nice Parking...

I think I now know why there are such mixed reviews on this hotel. Stayed recently and originally stayed in room two which is pictured on here. Room two is disappointing, small and outdated. The ensuite is in a very small cupboard and the sink is in the bedroom itself. In my opinion room two is not worth the price...

My wife and I recently stayed at The Borthalan Hotel. We booked because the hotel has parking, was well located for getting into St Ives by train and was affordable when compared to other hotels in the area which had availability during peak season. The hotel is well located - just a few minutes walk up the hill from Carbis...

We have just spent 4 nights here and wanted to give Martin and Margaret 5 stars. This is a comfortable clean well run small hotel run by exceptionally hard working people. It isnt a corporate 4 star bland chain hotel with white linen and magazine finishes if you want that then stay somewhere else! We found this hotel a delight...
