I was never treated like that by any hotel. I submit my AMEX to pay which was an option available in booking, I did not pay attention this was not allowed. My card did not get through so I put another one which, for some reason I could not explain, did not work either. I received this mail in return:... More

This place exceeded my expectations. We've always rented cottages in St Ives but this year had a shorter break, taking the sleeper train and staying just two nights. There are 5 of us so we elected for LordRyans as it is good value which made 3 rooms affordable. I knew from a vague knowledge of the area that it was... More

Was surprised to turn up at this B and B to find a piece of paper in their front room window stating they had available rooms at £35.00 per night. Internal design was basic, clean and comfortable. Wasnt allowed to access my room till 4pm even though I arrived at St Ives at 9am and had been travelling all night.... More

I cannot recommend this place enough. The guesthouse is warmly decorated, making you feel at home as well as being extremely welcoming. Mariana (the owner) is lovely and greeted us when we arrived. We stayed for 2 nights, the rooms suited our every need by providing a kitchenette and small but more than big enough ensuite. The decoration is fabulous,... More

I travelled solo to complete the coast to coast cycle from Davoren to Portreath. Mariana runs a spotless house. There is a communal living room with a kettle and fridge where you prepare your own breakfast and snacks. I was pleased to find soya milk sachets and was provided with a large choice of beverages. You can catch the bus... More

Stayed here with my husband for three nights. The room was at the back of the house on the second floor. The views are amazing. The room is clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was lovely and comfy. It's very peaceful and it's lovely the way you can make tea/coffee in the communal dining room. We will return to this... More

Lordryans is outstanding. Cleanliness - squeaky clean! Service - great! Friendliness - amazing! Decor - superb! Location - very convenient! Overall - made me feel at home! Recommendation - must! All the rooms in the b&b are spotless and quirky - just fell in love. It felt like walking into a showroom, made me want to re-decorate my home! The... More

Stayed here for three days, we had room 7 top floor in the attic. Very small flat with kitchenette. Clean but tired, painted floorboards peeling, walls chipped needs a desperate refurb. Sofa bed in sitting area was broken and unusable, no cupboard space having to use hooks on the back of doors to hang ones clothing. No ironing board or... More

We spent three nights in this lovely BNB this summer and it was the perfect spot. Great location (you'll get used to the hills in St Ives!), our double room was clean, beautifully decorated and had a lovely bright bay window. The breakfast was great, lots of fresh fruit with pancakes and waffles. Mariana was an easy going and great... More
