Arrived around 7.30PM and ordered the cod with Mediterranean veg, so tasty and piping hot. Unfortunately the band turned up while we were eating and propped open the door while they bought in their instruments, which took a while and slightly spoiled the meal by reducing the temperature of the surroundings and consequently the meal, so make sure you find...

Don't be put off by the slightly sad interior. Inside is a warm welcome . They have lots of really old photos of st Ives over the pub. This pub does a fantastic crab sandwich with lovely squishy fresh bread.

Called in to the Union Inn a couple off times while in St Ives for a pint and something to eat. Beernice and cold and food spot on generous portions, staff very helpful and pub dog friendly nice open fire and leather chairs.

Stopped here for lunch - just a quick snack the intention but the crab sandwiches were huge with enough tasty crab for two servings at least. A pint of Betty Stoggs, a warm fire and quiet but friendly and efficient barstaff, what more could you ask on a stormy day.

Just walked by and decided to stop for lunch. My daughter had fresh mackerel and she said it was delicious. We had pasty and chips and everyone enjoyed theirs. Nice friendly staff we managed to get a table for 6. With drinks came to £47. Would recommend.

The Hit:- After arriving in St Ives on a Saturday with no restaurant booked we decided to eat in The Union Inn after seeing the two steaks and get a free bottle of wine. Not holding out much hope of it being any better than normal pub food for the money was pleasantly surprise to get two perfectly cooked steaks....

During a recent holiday in Cornwall we stayed at a nominal 4 star hotel, their rating not mine. Food is an essential part of a good holiday and if you like nouvelle cuisine our hotel was satisfactory, but only just. As a result we decided that some more traditional food would be very welcome and this is just what the...
