Just got back from a fabulous stay at Crossways, would definitely recommend it and will be rebooking. Excellent room with harbour views, very clean throughout, room serviced daily we couldn't fault any part of our stay. Breakfast freshly cooked with a wide choice even fresh fruit salad. Tim the owner was lovely, very friendly and helpful with lots of useful...

We loved the Cornerways B&B. Great host, attractive rooms, new bathrooms, lovely fresh fruit and good breakfast choices. We stayed in two different rooms at this B&B (at the beginning and the end of our trip), and they were both beautiful. One even had a view of the harbor!

Tim is most definitely the highlight of this B&B. We were late arriving but he was there waiting for us and was very welcoming. We stayed in 'Sandra' on the top floor and it was nothing short of amazing. The 'loo with a view' is something to behold. Amenities were aplenty and the furnishings of the room were done to...

Tim and Shelly simply could not do enough to make my visit welcome. Parking in St Ives is a nightmare but Tim organised a private spot. Room was great and the breakfast was simply superb. Highly recommend

Great location in the heart of the old fisherman's village at St Ives. Easy to walk around to see all the nooks and crannies. The breakfast is amazing. You have to try the Cornish breakfast. The owner Tim is extremely friendly and able to assist with good local knowledge. Furnishings and bathroom first class. Best showers in the UK!

We have just returned from a seven night stay at Cornerways. Forget your boring blue and white seaside themed guest houses, Cornerways is as different as it could be - each room is individually decorated and furnished, with lovely bed linen, colourful towels, gorgeous mirrors and lamps, original artwork and dark slate shower rooms. Even the guest room fridges are...

We've stayed a number of times at Cornerways as a way of adding a couple of days to the start of a week long break in a cottage and we look forward to it every time. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of St Ives in between the harbour, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor beaches and has dozens of great...

My wife and I have visited St. Ives, both with our families since young children,we are in love with it. We found Coneraways about 4 years ago and have visited every year since. Cornerways is situated in the centre of St. Ives and would suit the less mobile person has everything is on the door step. Tim is one amazing...

Friendly welcome, with comfortable rooms on offer. The accommodation is in a great location, and the breakfast is plentiful, including cooked and continental options. Basically, it provides all you could want for a short break in St Ives!

We had one night at the beginning of our walking holiday and had the pleasure of staying in this quaint little B&B. Although our room was small it was very comfortable and the B&B is close to the centre of St Ives. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit and cooked breakfast too. We had short but enjoyable stay and wouldn't...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spend your holidays with us in Downalong, a labyrinth of cobbled lanes which used to be the fisherman's quarter in the oldest part of St Ives. Cornerways was built in the 1830s and has been a Guest House for over 70 years. Only 50 yards from the harbour, beaches and restaurants, Daphne Du Maurier stayed here in the 1940's. The Tate Gallery, for which we provide complimentary tickets, and St Ives Art School are only 150 yards away. Two of our rooms overlook the harbour and bay beyond. With a modern feel that echoes the artists’ quarter in which it sits, Cornerways’ rooms have been renovated and totally redecorated over the last 7 years and all have new en-suites. All bedrooms have LCD TVs, DVD Players, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, fridges and complimentary Cornish bottled water. The 3' thick Cornish Granite walls and no passing traffic will ensure you a snug & quiet night’s sleep.Breakfast is served in the uncrowded dining room with only fresh produce being used. We also cater for vegetarians. Fresh local fish is available daily, which includes smoked salmon, local mackerel, kippers and smoked haddock. Tim & Shelley ... more   less
