Small hotel situated in the centre of St Ives within a couple of minutes walk of the harbor. Lovely cooked and continental breakfast was included in the price and a great pub style lunch / dinner menu. For great views, ask for a room on the top 2 floors!!

Great place to shelter from the rain (!) in St Ives - good food, nice relaxed atmostphere and friendly helpful staff. Live music was an added bonus. Was nice in the evening with candles and a real fire. Will definitely visit again when next in St Ives.

Excellent Sunday lunch, with huge Yorkshire puds!! Perfectly cooked veg and tasty beef. Good choice of wines and drinks. Friendly welcome from owners. Would recommend booking, can get busy particular at peak holiday times. Would definitely go back.

Just spent the one night in the Queens on a flying visit to spend some time with friends in St Ives. Booked late, so we got what I am assuming is one of the smaller rooms on the very top floor - 6 flights of stairs! Having said that, the room was perfectly adequate, with a small en-suite bathroom. What...

We stopped off here for a quick lunch on a rainy day. We had a burger and a soup and sandwich - nice food promptly brought over. The staff are very friendly and ready to answer your questions and help. We sampled a few of the local beers and ciders under their direction and weren't disappointed. They have a nice...

We booked a meal here during our stay in St Ives. We were not disappointed - the staff were really friendly and efficient and made us feel really welcome. They have an amazing choice of gins there is you want something different. The food was really tasty and well presented - a cut above the average gastro pub - and...

I went to St ives for a night away and this hotel was ideally situated, right in the town centre. Reasonably priced and well worth it for the full cornish breakfast in the morning. I am very particularly about breakfasts as i enjoy it more when it is LOCAL and BRITISH and this breakfast was every fine tasty quality meat....

The Queens looks like another ordinary pub on the main road through the centre of St Ives, but is well worth a visit. The bar has character and is simply furnished with wooden furniture. The food menu is not large but does give enough choice for most people. We chose the cheapest food items at £9 each, and they were...

Our first stay at the Queens Hotel and it will not be our last, very helpful friendly staff, comfortable room, fantastic breakfast and evening meals. Location is perfect for visiting St Ives as its in the heart of the town and close to all the shops and amenities.

We always pop in for a beer which is well kept, this year we visited as a large family group ( 11 ) and ate at long table which worked really well, we all have different tastes but all the dishes were really good quality and hot and arrived at the same time which makes a change. Me and my...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
