I stayed for two nights with my family in September 2015. I was absolutely blown away by the unprecedented views of the bay, spectacular food (catch of the day, lamb chops, fish & chips, amongst other fabulous dishes), wonderfully friendly staff (special mention has to go to Rachel who is quite possibly the nicest person I have every met), and...

Port Isaac is a gorgeous and largely unspoilt fishing village made famous by the TV programme Doc Martin being filmed there. The Old School hotel overlooks the very pretty harbour. The charm of the school has not been lost and you feel like you are stepping back in time as you go through the front door. Our room was beautifully...

We decided to travel to Port Isaac as it the town where Doc Martin show is set and to our amazement they were filming on the day after we arrived. So naturally we went along to view the filming. The Doc Martin Clunes is a real nice bloke before he went into his act mode. He talked with bystanders greeted...

Keen fans of the Doc Martin television show, we had to stay here -- and we are so glad we did. First of all, the Geography room looks directly out onto the port and toward Doc Martin's house! Every time I looked out the window I was thrilled we were staying there! The room was comfortable and provided everything we...

Popped into the Old School House to grab a quick breakfast before we set off home after our three day stay in the village Read a few mixed reports before coming here but I have to say the staff were great and very friendly and the breakfast was ok, nothing amazing but well worth a visit as the setting is...

Very average in every way! Nothing special about this place! Food was average, service was below average from the waiting staff as they didn't seem happy to be there at all although the lady who served us at the bar was polite and smiley so it wasn't all bad but I would never choose to go back

We stayed for 2 nights and chose the English room and were certainly not disappointed! The room was large and clean, with a fabulous view over the harbour. Right next door to the restaurant where we had breakfast and within very easy walking distance to everything, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Port Isaac! A real highlight of our 4...

Having watched episodes of Doc Martin, my husband and I decided to visit Port Isaac. Friends who have been there recommended the Old School Hotel. We were given the French room, a small double room on the ground floor with a tiny window overlooking the sea and the houses on the hill, including Doc Martin's Surgery. Rooms on the upper...

We booked room "Art", which is really nice and spacious. The location is great, food is good and staff friendly. BUT: - The big roof-lights were so dirty we couldn't enjoy the great view. Never seen such a dirty window in a hotel. - The bathroom is clean, but it's standard is far, really very far from the price of...

The staff helped me after a bad experience at a neighbouring b & b involving a leak in the ceiling. All the staff were lovely and made up for this experience which could've ruined my trip to Port Isaac. Also, after planning a bus route to Padstow one of the girls suggested I got the bus to Rock and then...
