I booked the queens blind via our works agency. The carpark is at true rear of the hotel. Reception is via the carpark up some steep stairs but there is a stair lift. The reception staff were very friendly with a polite manner The room was disappointing. The rate was £110 for a room over looking the carpark. The room...

Dear Tony, Thank you for your review. The title 'tired but lovely staff' reads like some of employees could do with an early night! However, you praised our staff which is very kind of you as we make a great effort to make sure all our guests are made welcome. Some of our rooms are smaller than others, and the...

I'm slightly surprised by some of the poorer reviews on here. I found the hotel to be very comfortable and the staff to be friendly and efficient. The hotel location is fantastic, with lovely sea views from the front rooms and the restaurant. Breakfast was very good with all the choices you would expect from a large hotel. The cooked...

Had an excellent night at this hotel. From arrival it was brilliant. Efficient, friendly service at reception, a comfy bed (a single room that was like all single rooms small, but you get what you pay for!) and one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I've had. Little more to say - hope they keep it up!

So glad I ignored the negative reviews. Large room was warm and clean and even the bathroom was spacious. Free parking and beautiful views from our second floor window overlooking the bay. Stayed for two nights and had dinner here one of those. Excellent meal, especially for the price we paid. Went to a Nepalese/Indian restaurant recommended by a young...

It was a surprise birthday treat from my wife, and what a marvellous treat it was. have stayed and visited The Queens Hotel quite a few times. I have never been dissatisfied. The food has always been very good and reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious, warm and almost regal. Large baths with good showers. The staff are polite and...

Vicki, Thank you for your review. There are toilets on the ground floor of the hotel, and we have just installed brand new disabled toilets on the first floor of the hotel. The disabled toilets on the first floor are right next to the lift. We discussed the disabled access / toilets with a disability consultant who advised us that...

The Queens Hotel Penzance is directly on the seafront. Though in need of a new coat of paint it's a great place to stay. The front desk staff were really nice helpful and funny My room was a sea view which I only had because the hotel was busy, needless to say there is a premium for the view, about...

Afctripod, Thank you for taking the time to review The Queens Hotel. I hope that you found our staff funny in a humorous way, rather than an odd way! Being a family hotel, we are very flexible in our service - for example, preparing you breakfast before the serving time. Please do come and visit us once again. Regards, Nigel...

We stayed at The Queens Hotel last weekend. We were part of a coach party, but was pleased that guests were treated as individuals, rather than just another coach party. Situated right on the sea front, my family and I had decided to take a late break, we had a family room which was a good size and clean and tidy, personally found it a little quirky/dated but all added to the charm really and typical of a historic British seaside hotel. Marc, Thank you for taking time to review The Queens Hotel. Dated? Perhaps, but in a good way we feel and, as you mention, everything is in keeping with the ethos and atmosphere of a traditional British seaside hotel. We're pleased that you found the food and service to your liking. Regards, Nigel Pengelly.

Stayed for four nights. Not the most up to date hotel, but the food is good and the staff are brilliant. Reading other reviews it looks like some rooms are quite small.
