I booked 2 single rooms for myself and companion. Rooms 15 and 19. The hotel has been refurbished but needs to be thoroughly cleaned regularly to maintain appearance. Both rooms were not vacuumed or dusted during our 10 nights stay. Beds were changed once and only hand towels changed. Room 15 is in a small narrow corridor and when other...

My husband and I have just spent 4 days in cornwall staying at this lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was outstandingly clean with a fresh decor making it cosy yet still modern in style. The hotel facilities were spot on with a wonderful restaurant serving an outstanding breakfast with a large selection. A very...

I stayed at the Beachfield a few weeks ago before sailing to the Isles of Scilly. The staff was so friendly and helpful and it made for a wonderful experience. The room was exactly what I needed at a reasonable price and the common areas were very cozy and nice. I had a delicious hot breakfast both mornings in the...

We called in on speck and booked as 'walk-ins' over Easter on 9 and 10 April 2015. We had a very welcoming and friendly reception as we were offered our room. We chose room 10, the overriding factor being the super-king sized bed, as we'd just spent 5 days sleeping on sun loungers at relatives! The room and bathroom was...

Chosen primarily for its 'family room' accommodation (three twin beds in one room), our room had a large bay window overlooking the sea and Saint Michael's Mount in the distance. Easy walking distance along the sea wall to Newlyn and its' little shops and galleries. Head the other direction to the railway station or to the shops in town. Across...

Beachfield Hotel is situated in a fantastic location overlooking Mounts Bay with views from St. Michaels Mount to Newlyn. We decided to visit Penzance in February as we live just 35 miles away but never seem to make it to Penzance as we are usually doing other things during the year, visiting other places. It was a cold day when...

We stayed here for five nights in February. It is a lovely hotel right on the front and our room had sea views. The staff are very helpful, the room comfortable and well furnished, the breakfasts were really excellent (lots of fresh fruit) and the evening meal good. Only two small quibbles: the dinner menu was the same every night...

I stay in a lot of hotels - independent and chain - and from the outside, this had all the makings of a typical creaky-faded English hotel, with an old building with begrudging updating to barely provide modern essentials. This hotel goes to show that it need not be like that. The owners here have done a really good job....

Stayed here beginning of February, the weather outside bitterly cold but the hotel was warm and welcoming. We were greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our room and who could not have been more helpful. The room looked newly refurbished and had a lovely sea view. The breakfast was excellent , I really enjoyed the eggs...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on the sea front in Penzance, Cornwall, the Beachfield Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mount's Bay, from The Lizard to Newlyn Harbour with St Michael's Mount glitteringly prominent at centre stage. A Victorian building dating from the 1860s and standing on grounds that were once fields and dunes where fishermen dried their nets, our hotel has long been a favourite for those who know Penzance well.
