Lovely old country house in a beautiful setting steeped in history which the owner is only too happy to tell you about. Don't expect boutique decor but very tastefully and comfortable .accommodation . Handy for lands end penzance and local fishing villages.

So you glide up the sweeping drive from the big gate at the road and you park in front of this massive old mansion, stunning. You'll be greeted at the front door by owner and exceptional old character Tim Le Grice. He will introduce his family history as he shows you to your room, rather, suite, and will ensure you... It's been a surprise and a big pleasure to arrive to Trereife House. The house and the surroundings are amazing as much as the hospitality and the kindness of its hosts. It's located just outside Penzance inside a wonderful park and very near to the major points of touristic interest of the west of Cornwall. We'll surely return!!

This is an exceptional place deep in family history with the absolutely delightful family working in their home to provide comfort, exvellent food and local history lesson included. The entrance convinced me I was in a stately home not a b and b ! The welcome was delightful and we were made to feel special from the minute we arrived

We enjoyed our stay at Trereife (pronounced Treeve), a house and garden with a fascinating history. Our room was quirky and comfortable, with lovely views. Breakfast was good, with the special attraction of medlar jam, using fruit from the orchard.

Elegant house though our well appointed room, Southey, was reached via the stable yard. Well appointed large room. Perhaps the sofa is a tad large for the space. Excellent linen, particularly the pillows. A box of tissues and some hand lotion would have been welcome as would a grab handle in the shower for people of our age (70s). Water... More

Stayed at this lovely house while on a driving tour of the UK. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, especially Peter. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed. We checked in late afternoon and then left to attend a play at The Minack Theatre. Driving back to Penzance from Cornwall was an adventure since we are American... More
