Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Delicious breakfasts - both the hot (superbly cooked including very pretty oven-baked cherry tomatoes) and the cold (amazing croissants). My single room was small but contained everything I needed including a range of drinks and biscuits.

We decided to have a couple of days away at short notice and this was one of the few remaining places that had a room left so we booked it. The room was very dated, but more importantly was not very clean. The light switch was so dirty with something brown, (I really don't want to know what it was),...

Clare. Thanks for your feedback though clearly we are taken a little aback. We wish you had raised these concerns with us as the time and we could have immediately tried to resolve them for you. We have been running the business since Feb 15 and whilst there are many improvements we would like to make, we cant make them...

Had a lovely stay here for a few days in early September. As both of us have problems with mobility, it was lovely to see that there was a good sized car park, with spaces for around 12-14 vehicles. Yvonne gave us a lovely welcome and directed us to our room (room 6). This room is described as a basic...

We had one of the family rooms and were really pleased. It was clean and had everything we needed. The lodge was lovely and run well. The current owners have only been there since feb but are doing a great job. The swimming pool is a great size and kids loved it. There was snooker and darts for the kids...

Our room was numbered 1 and facing the road but we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The proprietors were always very helpful and friendly, as were the staff. Breakfasts were nice with plenty of choice and good quality. We would have preferred later times for breakfast than 8.00 to 9.00 but it seemed to work well.

The place is nice and cosy with friendly service and good breakfast. Since we were a large group they made a special arrangement for our breakfast. We were also provided with a separate heater. Only thing is we couldn't use the pool as it was raining all day. I'll definitely stay here again.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for your feedback, glad you enjoyed your stay. When the pool is open (season depending May-early Sep) we leave the cover on to reduce debris and retain the heat, but just to mention, we will remove the cover for the brave swimmers. However it is only 12mx6m so more a cooling down pool...

We recently stayed here for a few days in a family room. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. As you walk in, the room was divided into two smaller rooms which was brilliant! Gave the adults and teens a little privacy. The teenagers stayed in bunk beds and we had a double bed. Very comfortable and had a great night sleep...
