The staff were friendly enough however I really don't have anything good to say about St Christophers. Budget accommodation doesn't have to mean dirty, the floor was sticky and the room was generally grimy. We had 2 nights but left after the 1st, when we talked to the manager about the Karioke till 2, and state of the room we...

Only stayed here one night, one night was enough, booked double ensuite, only good thing was the view from the window overlooking the sea! Room dated and bed uncomfortable, we guessed it would be noisy downstairs and it certainly was, restless night from lads shouting most of the night, up early for breakfast only to be told it didn't start...

I think rating this hostel will be dependent on what kind of traveller you are. If late night party is your thing, I think this place is perfect because you get discounts for your food and drink at Belushi's Bar downstairs. Having mentioned that, a party person will find it great to have their accommodation located just above a late...

We stayed in the double room which had lovely beach views. Its one of the nicer hostels weve stayed in. It cost £260 from saturday to wednesday. The only downside was that the towels were never replaced and the bin was never emptied. We took our own rubbish out to the bins on the street a few times but thats...

I've stayed at a few of St christophers hostels and this is probably my second favourite (after amsterdam) The bar is great, there was a live music and ale festival so we had bands playing and great beer all night long, right downstairs, all weekend. The hostel is right above the beach. Our room looked right out over the sea....

First time staying in a hostel so had no idea what to expect. What a lovely surprise. We booked a double room with ensuite for £34 which included breakfast. The room was spotless and had aĺl the normal hotel touches. Kettle, toiletries, flat screen tv. There was even a heater. Not to mention a view to die for. On top...

Had a brilliant time here! Stayed in the 10 bed mixed dorm. Arrived very late due to travelling after work, staff very friendly when we got there. Great deals on for guest in the bar downstairs. Room was a bit shabby, but was clean and house keeping came everyday. Very close to everything. Can't wait to go back!

We have stayed first time in this hostel. The location - perfect, considering is literally next to the beach. The room - decent size room, quite clean, clean sheets and comfortable bed. However, were disappointed with the sink and cold water flow as the water was splashing all over the place. Did not have an opportunity to use the shower....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'll find St Christopher's Inn, Newquay perched on a cliff top, overlooking the beautiful Towan Beach. This stunning location on the southern tip of England is the perfect mix of sun, sand and sea. You'll also find the Escape Surf School in the same building - making this hostel in Newquay the perfect place to slip into a wetsuit and hit the waves. After a day of working out in the water, the on-site Belushi's bar and restaurant is the top spot to recharge and make new friends, as you enjoy the outdoor sun deck, summer BBQs, and all round good times. This backpacker base in Newquay doesn't just connect you to one beach - it's actually close to eleven sandy shores, making it the perfect place to stay when the Zapcat King of the Waves speedboat competitions roar into the area and smash across the sea. Another annual highlight in the area is the Rip Curl Boardmasters Festival when, for a whole week, you can hit the beach for surf, skate, BMX and bikini competitions galore - not to mention the best live music in Europe. If you follow the shores beyond the beach you'll find the ruins of Tintagel Castle - the legendary home of Merlin the Magician, Uther Pendragon, King Arthur and the one and only Knights of the Round Table. Another international tourism treasure in Cornwall has to be the nearby Eden Project - Britain's very first, self-contained biosphere and the cutting edge of all things environmental. ... more   less
