Have stayed before and would not stay anywhere else. Yes the carpets show their age; yes the bedroom furniture is far from modern, but hey - what does that matter? The Welcome and hospitality are second to none: the food is terrific, the views are to die for and the log fire and deep armchairs make you really feel at... More

Just spent 5 days there and loved it. Some reviews say in need of modernisation don't think so. Loved the place the great big bannisters on the very impressive stairs the creaking floor boards old fashion lift, but every thing was clean the lounge areas well presented breakfast was great all you could want. The staff from check in was... More

The Victoria is a great hotel back in its heyday it would have been a very beautiful place , with its grand staircase rising 3 floors above a grand entrance . Its sad to say that it's seen better days . It is still a wonderful place , having spoken to staff they said that the owner's are looking to... More

Imposing hotel close to train and bus stations and impressive beach and harbour, surrounded by everything else you need. Wonderful, relaxing interior, spotlessly clean, delicious food served at dinner and plenty of places to relax including the Ooh La La spa.

We stayed here for 1 night, location is great right in the town and close to the coast. Parking £5 per night for guests. Impressive looking hotel with great sea views. Yes it's dated, it was built in the 1890's!! But it is immaculately clean. Very friendly staff great breakfast. Slept well no noise. We had sea view which we... More

We have just returned after a 2 night stay the the Victoria hotel. I saw a Groupon deal and thought why not return, as this was the hotel we took my baby daughter to 17 years ago. There have been lots of critical reviews, but in my opinion, try and enjoy the original charm of this hotel. Yep, we can... More

The hotel is central and very clean. It has its own capark which is payable at £5 a day. The rooms are on suite and nicely furnished although areas of the hotel are dated. Very friendly staff and would definitely return.
