This busy but very friendly and cosy hotel is near to the sea with its terrace & gardens overlooking the sea & a path straight onto the rocky beach below. It is dog friendly, has ample parking, a sitting-out lounge area & terrace. The bar has a large range of local beers. There is a huge selection at breakfast and...

New Years Eve at the Coastguard - excellent food given they were serving so many people at once. Staff, as ever, great (particularly Victoria). Band were a bit inexperienced (can't beat an old fashioned disco!). We come because it's so dog friendly 💕💕💕

Commencing at 6.30 pm is too, early. The food is quite nice but not enough and for £70 is not value for money, we even had to pay for coffee as extra! The musicians were trying but really were too inexperienced, took ages to set up and then we couldn't hear what the guy was saying. They need more experience. The...

We stayed here quite unexpectedly after a double booking at another location in Mousehole. The staff couldn't do enough for us and I'm eternally thankful. The room (number 2) faced the road but there was minimal noise. The room itself was a little sanctuary of calm. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. The books and dressing gowns were a...

We had a large bedroom on the upper floor which was very pleasant with a large comfy bed. Old fashioned bathroom with a shower over the bath. The whole place is in need of a bit of TLC and the exterior and windows could certainly do with a bit of cleaning and painting - may be that's part of it's...

Let's make two things clear: the OCH is not cheap and won't be to everybody's taste. If, for instance, you need a widescreen TV in your room to make your stay complete you'll be disappointed. If, however, you fancy listening to Radio 4 in the background, sitting with the paper at a huge table, looking at the sea with a...

We stayed here for a night on the Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate which seemed pretty good value for money and it was! This lovely hotel gets everything we value in such a place exactly right. The location is great with enough parking (much needed in Mousehole!), lovely views and easy proximity to the shops and cafes as well as...

Overnight stay at this super hotel, where quite efficiency prevails along with excellent service from all the staff. Great food and drink! Our room had excellent sea views and there is good parking available on site. Very nice gardens with access onto the coast path. Thoroughly recommended!

The restaurant is in a great location with wonderful sea views. Everything I've eaten there has been great but the monkfish deserves a special mention. The seating area by the windows could do to be made less draughty and one or two staff members could be warmer too, but overall, great.

Always reliably good we stopped for an early lunch after visiting St Just. Grabbing a sofa by the windows we sat with a glass of vino verde and NZ Sauvignon, contemplating the increasing wind strength and waves before choosing from the menu. Leek and potato soup and gnocchi with sweet potatoes-possibly the nicest meal we've had out in a while-and...
