My partner and I stayed for 1 night on Friday and were not disappointed. We were early and arrived by train which was 5 minutes away, Sammy greeted us and offered us coffee and tea before we ventured out, as it turned out, the room was ready very early and we were able to check in. Our room was big,... More

Sammy could not have made me feel more at home. He greeted me with a cup of tea and some biscuits and advised me on where to go for dinner (I would second where he suggested and highly recommend The Golden Guinea -freshly cooked food, generous portions, good value and friendly staff). Sammy also upgraded me for the night from... More

Spent a very enjoyable 3 night break at the Bridgeside Guest House. It is spotlessly clean,in a great location and lovely views of the river. The owner Sammy is a first class host, very welcoming, knowledgeable about the local area and cooks a mean breakfast. The other staff members we met were all equally kind and helpful.

Sixteen of us from my walking club stayed here over Easter 2016. The guesthouse is a good base for walking and indeed would make a good base for many holidays. It is very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were great and we had good packed lunches on a couple of days too. It is located in the centre of town. Sammy... More

Decided to stay in Looe for prosperity ready for a business trip the next day and chose this place from Hotels.com instead of the usual chain hotels! This is a classic B&B except that hosts make all the difference, you are certainly made welcome. The room was a front room on the top floor. Small but clean and a tiny... More

We stayed here for 1 night. Arrived around 10:30 in the morning & as our room wasn't ready the staff got us a fresh pot of coffee & some biscuits. We left all our luggage in the lounge area while we went & parked the car in the huge car park over the other side of the bridge. 24 hrs... More

Four of us stayed for two nights and Sammy and his team were fantastic! I have to say that I travel a lot with work and it is so nice to stay somewhere that you are made to feel so welcome and the place feels homely. Sammy made us all feel really welcome, the rooms are clean and if you... More

Well, what can I say? We had room 2 (family room with sea view). The room was clean, bright, comfy and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. I must admit, I was sceptical about staying in a guest house in Looe, but Sammy and this establishment have completely converted me. I stayed with my... More

Don't be put off by the outside appearance (it's above a shop) or the long flight of steps up to the front door or even that it is directly at the end of the busy bridge connecting East and West Looe... this is a good place to stay. We decided at the last minute so didn't have a room with... More
