We arrived early on Saturday morning our bags were kept safe we were informed of where to park (safe and cheap )only a few metres away The staff were friendly helpful from the minuets we arrived until we left The room was Cosey and clean and free from pub noise The breakfast was top notch and not microwaved as one...

Arrived Sat, lovely welcome by the owner, quirky great rooms, great decor, our room had a record player in! brilliant location, just around the corner from the main street, very clean with comfy bed, fabulous breakfast in the morning, couldn't of asked for better, far better than your chain hotels, it was personal,hoping to return in the summer.Thank you

Such a fantastic, quirky pub. Staff are super friendly, so friendly and welcoming in fact that after going in there drinking one day we were told they have rooms for overnight stays so we planned a visit and loved our stay x The breakfast was fantastic and the Sunday lunch was just as great. We can't wait to go back...

My husband & I stayed here last Saturday. Martin came to greet us & took our bag to our room which was a great gesture. We stayed in the 'Regimental' room which had a walk in shower. Endless supplies of tea, coffee and milks provided. A continental breakfast was included in the price or for £5 extra you could have...

Just returned from an amazing night in this lovely hotel. Martin was the best host ever and looked after us and made us feel welcome from the start, his breakfast was the best I've ever eaten. Our room was beautiful, clean and warm, really quirky and we even had a working record player so we could play some Bob Marley...

Really good place to stay, could be loud but only till 11pm, good breakfast 5£ extra in the morning and nice atmosphere. Shower needs extra attention as the pressure is not strong. Otherwise nice stay.

Brilliantly quirky rooms in a very central location! Two minutes walk into chester city centre, racecourse and river dee! The pub itself is gorgeous, staff are very hospitable and breakfast was delicious!

Stayed Friday and Saturday night. We were in room 2 that is advertised as a double. The b ed is against a wall and the room is a single room size. The ensuite is tiny and the toilet takes about ten efforts to try and flush. The stair carpet is threadbare and full of holes. The breakfasts are obviously pre-...

Stayed at this lovely pub for 2 nights, cosy warm room, and comfy bed. The cooked breakfast is plentiful and delicious, i tried the continental which is included in the price of the room, i had a chocolate croissant and danish pastry which was sooo good and was even warmed up! You could also have cereal, grapes, bananas and tea,coffee...

Lovely friendly staff. Quaint cosy pub with a great atmosphere. Comfy spacious clean room. Good food. Fantastic location mins away from the heart of the city. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended
