The staff were very friendly and chatty. The room was very clean, and peaceful and felt very relaxed. They even included a fan because it was a hot day. Couldn't fault it at all! The shower worked perfectly. I forgot to bring shampoo, but luckily they already provide some so that was very handy.

We found this hotel to be very convenient comfy and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly making you very welcome (they even sang happy birthday to me). The Toby Carvery was connected to the hotel and that too was good value for money.

Only fault with the travelogue was no hairdryer in the room. The pub next door was quite disappointing as all it served was sandwiches and or a carvery. Wanted something more substantial than a sandwich but not really. a fan of a carvery - especially mid-week. Luckily Chester was only a few miles away.

Note special to share staff was nice, room was quiet and warm since it was a cold week. Pub next door for some food was ok could do with some more options tho. Otherwise, a nice hotel to stop in on a budget can't go wrong with it really.

Needed a reasonably priced room near Chester zoo, this fitted the bill! Booked 2 rooms, one of which was great, the other was smelly to be truthful. So much so I knew I couldn't sleep in there! Receptionist very helpful (she sniff tested and agreed with us) and moved us to a different room. This room (num 30) didn't smell...

Stayed with my 84 year old mother while visiting family in Chester. We both found it very comfortable and she especially appreciated the gab handles in the bathroom. Loads of lovely hot water for my morning bath after a good night's sleep.
