Stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised. A bit worn and dated but very clean quiet and comfortable at a decent price. Can't beat the value in this property and the freindly staff. It's within walking distance of the train station with easy access to the city centre as well as pubs and good restaurants. Would stay again...

Cheap and in need of a major renovation but at the price they charge who cares as its great for a sleep after a night out in Chester. Bedding is clean and the shower works, that is all you need. Will use again the next time in town at a do. 4star because its a gr8 budget hotel.

1st impression was grubby! Once in the room it got worse. The only clean part of the room where the towels! We had 2 single beds my husband's had no castors and was broken in the middle, I had been bitten by a flea on the 1st night, when I informed the staff member on duty early the next morning...

Stayed at the Belgrave for 3 nights and for the price it was no more than can be expected. The room was clean enough, although everything in it is old and needs a spruce up. Having said that, it was exactly what you would expect for the cost considering it's in the centre of Chester. If you want luxury and...

Although I have read several bad reviews about this hotel, I actually think it is cosy! It is true that some of the rooms are a bit old and need some refurbishing, but at the same time it makes it kind of vintage, which is nice. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. They are there 24/7. I did...

I've read some reviews that aren't fair on this hotel. The staff are absolutely brilliant to start off with. The hotel itself could do with a few touch ups here and there but can't complain with the price you pay. It's probably the best value for money you will get in Chester. Location is great with the train station next...

Wouldn't stay here again. Couldn't swing a cat in the room. The bathroom was dirty mood and mildew all in the shower. Went to brush my teeth to find someone else's hair in the plug. Next time I will get a taxi home.

This is a budget hotel, so don't expect anything too luxurious, that said the rooms were pretty decent and the location is in a very good central location right next to the rail station. Couple of things not so good, very noisy outside, but this may have been down to the fact that we stayed on a Saturday night and...
