Recently stayed, booked 4 nights, had to check myself out after 2. Friendly staff on arrival who I ended up sharing the room with. Basic accommodation. Sorry to say but very uncomfortable foam mattresses, dirty room (particularly behind bed) and damp smelling shower room that you couldn't even swing a cat in. Needs a full refurbishment in my opinion and...

Just got back from a fantastic weekend stay here. We were a hen party looking for somewhere in the centre of Chester that didn't break the bank. We hired the whole place out and had it all to ourselves. It was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water and a shower in most rooms. The outside area...

We arrived in the evening, to find no staff, but a fairy confused 'long term resident' who seemed to be allowed to look after the place. Didn't book directly with them - they had no idea we were coming. Cheap price, ageing decort. Friendly atmosphere.

Pros: Breakfast included/tea/coffee Cons: Dirty, unloved, unfresh, cold, creepy, trickling shower, mouldy, noisy, dim lighting. Needs closing down and refurbishing to bring this place up to today's standard. Photographs on website were taken a long time ago. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Bathroom not fit for purpose. Full of eastern European men.

I spent 1 night there. The place is cleaned, 4-bed rooms, a bit noisy but it's normal since people enter and exit in the from at any time. The mattress is on average, don't expect much but is close to the center and the train station.

Me and a group of four friends took a quick over night break in Chester. During which we stayed In one of the bunkhouse's dorm rooms, which we had to ourselves. The layout of the bunkhouse is a personal favourite of the hostels I've stayed in around the UK. It's a small, personal cosy space and very much feels like...

Nice as we arrived but we were hit by a stench and felt like the whole place was mouldy and damp this is probably the reason why it smelt like feet the whole time. To say this is a budget hostel we paid £44 for a room for one night for just two of us when hotels start at around...

Hi, thought I would respond to your review. Dealing with the price first. Yes, it does say £18 on the side of the building. However, this is per person and is our weekday price for a bed in a shared room. We charge £22 per person on the weekend. I'm not sure you will find a hotel room for £50...

First of all, my partner was arrived pretty earlier than he was on the 15th September 2015, approximately arrived around 5am, and the owner wasn't allow him to enter the room not before 10am, while he has to wait another hours outside of the hotel and not let his in with sort of arrogance, I don't think its fair for...

I'm not sure which guest you are that stayed at the Bunkroom. However, to expect a room at 5am is strange. Should I remove people from their room so that you can sleep in it? That is rather arrogant of you don't you think? Please give everyone on Tripadvisor the names of the hotels where it is possible to check-in...
