Have just returned from a three night stay at Sycamore House, and we couldn't have stayed at a better place. Chris is a brilliant host, very friendly and very helpful, and his breakfasts are amazing! We stayed in room 1, a very good sized double room, very bright and airy overlooking the front garden. With a sofa for seating, plenty...

Lovely place to stay, warm welcome, comfy room and amazing breakfasts - even for vegetarians! It is very central, a short walk to city centre over river but also very quiet, couldn't have bettered it. Will definitely stay here again if in area. Thank you Chris.

Thanks to Chris for a very warm welcome to his lovely home. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was yummy- mushroom and tofu scramble was really scrummy. So great to be catered for so well (as a vegan). Chris was really helpful too and gave me good ideas about what to see locally. I'd definitely stay...

What a great find, the room we stayed in was great and full size bathroom. All clean and tidy with teas, coffee, biscuits etc. toiletries also. Breakfast was out of this world and left us needing little during the days walking, exploring historic chester, roman fortress walls, gates, amphitheatre, river dee Victorian promenades, cathedrals. Those who need retail therapy are...

Stayed one nite. Great room clean nice bathroom, very fresh, redone very nice. Chris the owner is great, fantastic brekky, neat dining room off a Sun room. Parking is tight but doable. Walking distance to downtown Chester which is a must see. So much history in the buildings and a Roman fort quite amazing. Stay here it's worth it.

I can only endorse the positive and lovely comments posted here before. Sycamore House is a true treasure in Chester. The beautiful villa is located in a quiet and really beautiful part of Chester (and easily found by car). The town centre is just about ten minutes away via the foot bridge down the road, what a bonus! We had...

We started here before walking to Bangor for the first leg of the walk. Very comfortable and had a bath which was a bonus for walkers. Great veggie breakfast and we came back at the end of the trip for an extra couple of days here. When we finish the walk round Wales we may end up back here to...
