This is an old house in need of refurbishment. Lady who welcomed me was in a hurry and did not engage. Room was big but needed redecoration. Sheets clean but valance around the divan base was dirty. Small ensuite was mouldy and smelled of poor ventilation. Breakfast lacked variety. No muesli or fruit. Gent who served breakfast was friendlier. would...

We recently stayed at Bowman Lodge for 1 week and found it an excellent base for visiting the surrounding area for example Liverpool and Manchester. The hospitality of Mike and Jayne was amazing very friendly and very welcoming. The breakfasts were great to and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend Bowman Lodge to others....

We stayed at the Bowman Lodge from 3rd to 5th August. We were made welcome by the proprietor. Our room was on the ground floor but we were very disappointed with it. It was rather shabby and in great need of sprucing up ! The shower was very small and anyone who was a little bit larger would have a...

For us it was the friendly atmosphere that Mike and Jane create. Our Daughter and her family live in Hoole and we visit every couple of months. We have stayed in a few places locally and have settled on the Bowman as being our permanent base whenever we visit. I have read the other reviews and cannot understand where tripbbb1048 are...

This is a lovely B&B on the main road in the pleasant suburb of Hoole. The proprietors were friendly and fun, our rooms were clean and neat, and equipped with TV and kettle, a small washbasin, chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Breakfast was as you would expect, with a choice of cereals, orange juice, cooked breakfast (for vegetarians also)...

Owners, Mike & Jane couldn't have been more welcoming. The family room we stayed in was perfectly fine - clean beds and en-suite area, although the TV could do with updating. The hotel was in a good position to walk into Chester (20 mins) and if you felt too tired, you could use your bus pass on the frequent bus...

The only good thing about staying there was the sports bar we found opposite it! This place for us was an abolute dump!, If I hadn't of paid for it on paypal I would of walked straight back out and found something with standards. The stench, dust, smelly bed worn out sheets, lying on springs beds were aweful. the TV was a...

What superior room? I do not have or advertise one and certainly dont charge more for one. Whilst i do take onboard negative, constuctive criticism, i must say my rooms are a far cry from how you describe them - quoting your words and spelling "abolute dump" and "aweful". I emailed yourself trying to get to the bottom of this...

My daughter, myself and my 2 foster children stayed at this lovely hotel last week and we were made very welcome from the minute we stepped in the door. The room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent (and filling), and our hosts couldn,t do enough for us. I would recommend Bowman Lodge to anyone. We will definately return....

Had a one night stay here for the recent Chester half marathon. Location wise it's easy to find on the main Hoole Road into Chester, just a 2 minute drive into town or a 20 minute walk. There's a pub opposite and a few restaurants further down the road too. The accommodation is a three storey town house, our room...
