Before booking Fenners Hotel, we checked the website and read some TripAdvisor feedback. The hotel looked inviting for a short city break. However, we did not like our room no. 3. We thought that it had really gotten worn and would rather urgently need refurbishment (the walls and the ceiling showed quite some stains, curtains were damaged, shower cabin showed...

website does not accurately reflect the hotel. room was tiny and in need of TLC (shabby to be honest). shower needed a good clean. had to pay a £15 extra to park which is not advertised on the hotel website. hotel staff unhelpful. overpriced.

I chose this hotel as my wife and I were having lunch in Cambridge with some friends and I did not want to drive home afterwards as I would probably be over the alcohol limit to drive. The hotel was modest in price and had car parking which is at a premium in Cambridge. The hotel is near the station...

The bed was okay, but the bathroom was pretty dirty, the sink had a leak, some lights were broken and the walls were too thin. Therefore you could hear everything from your neighbours. The breakfast included was very poor, 2 slices of toast and a few fruits. All in all, the hotel is not worth the money and the rooms...

Receptionist was nice enough, but the room was poor and the shower freezing cold. Location good, breakfast poor - there were fake eyelashes in my fruit salad and on the plate. Honestly not good - look elsewhere.

As per previous comments, we were charged an additional £15 for parking. Now, if this was a monitored car park I could understand, however it's not. It's a few extra spaces out the back of the hotel. I would say if you can find cheaper parking elsewhere, then do so. The staff did not seem in the least bit interested...

We booked through Booking.com and I really wish that I had read the reviews more carefully. This is one occasion when I didn't look at Trip Advisor and I do now wish that I had. Mind you the photographs portray it as a really good looking nice hotel but in reality it is really something different. We arrived in Cambridge...

We stayed last night after having booked very last minute and getting a reduced rate of about £67. As we arrived at 7pm and left before 9am, there were no parking charges. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Check in and out was quick. We weren't able to stay for breakfast unfortunately so I can't comment on that...

What a disappointment. The photos on booking.com are great. Shame it isn't to like that when you get there. We were in room 6 which was tiny. Barely fit a double bed in it. The bathroom was ok but again tiny. The walls were paper thin so we could everything going on in the neighbouring rooms. The continental breakfast was...

Very easy to find and close to the train station made it ideal. Clean, staff non intrusive, breakfast continental included but good offering of additional choices, I did have to pick a time slot but suited me and reducing waiting around, dining area small. Quite expensive for B&B. I would stay again if needed.
