Have been there several times and the level of service and quality of food varies so much that we are unlikely to go again. The chicken pie was still frozen in the middle on one occasion while on another we had the best steaks ever. The waiting staff are not well trained. It is a wonderful location if you can...

Booked a table for here on a Saturday lunchtime. I was surprised how quiet it was when we arrived, plenty of room in the car park, not many folks in. It's improved since we were last here ~12 months ago, but the service was still slow and sluggish. Food on the whole was above average, but clearly designed for volume...

So new menu in , rocks , finally fries and there being more modern. Steve the manager talked us through it and personally sorted out starter as they had some larger groups. Photos of new choices shows how good !!

The first time we have been to this hotel and will be back. Called in for lunch and was soon looked after for drinks and menus. Once we had ordered, our meals were with us in no time.Lovely, comfortable place to eat. Very spacious with plenty of seating inside and out. My partner and I had a lovely meal. The waitress Charlotte was polite and friendly and saw to our every need. The food was quick and hot and so very delicious and well presented. We are regulars here and don't really understand the negative reviews.

Slow poor service, very small portions and tepid food. I'm not normally one for negativity but I've eaten here three or four times and the service has been the same every time. I have vowed never to eat there again! Don't get me wrong it's the best location by the river but that's the only positive.

We both had decent meals,a couple of beers and a dessert and were Done and dusted within the hour. Fairs fair and after a couple of...

Was really hoping for a wonderful experience. The interior was lovely however no tables available for at hour. I took this as a good sign and that the food would be great. Certainly the prices suggested a quality meal. We sat outside beside the canal as we were told the wait for our meals would be 30 or 40 minutes....

We regularly eat here and the food is always to such a high standard. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Sitting by the river it has a wonderful setting for eating outside on warmer days. Inside is clean and cosy with an open fire. Thoroughly recommend.
