My work were holding a conference and needed many rooms to accommodate our professional colleagues, I firstly emailed them on the 10th July to ask how much they would quote for all their rooms they had available on the dates needed. I had to chase the lodge twice as they did not email me back, eventually got a response on... More

I stayed at Aylesbray Lodge for business at the beginning of June. There was a boat race the following day so hotel rooms in Cambridge were scarce and this was the first place I called with any availabiliy. The website said that the guest house wouldn't normally provide breakfast, but when my colleague called he was informed they would do... More

Booked by my company, shared bathroom, paper thin walls, and ceiling, not enough tea making stuff in the room, lumpy bed, all the worst aspects of British bed and breakfast hotels. Thanks goodness it was just one night.

This booking was made for me in order that I could chair a seminar at Cambridge. On reading the reviews, I expected much, much worse than was provided. The lodge is in essence a converted and extended dwelling. And I was accommodated in the annex a few houses down the road. I stayed in the back room of a semi-detached... More

This was rated highly when I looked however going back to look most of these are annonymous!! AA accredited but OMG probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I was quoted one fee and my credit card was charged a more expensive fee without my authorisation. Room was tired and smelly. Bathroom was dated and mould in... More

what can I say... the hotel was dated, reception unmanned 90% of the time even when checking out, there was a box to put the key in, the room was small and bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. breakfast was not included and was an extra £8 per person, the bedroom doors was not self locking so anyone could walk in at... Stayed here with my partner as it was the closest B&B to Addenbrookes where we were visiting a family member. What transpired was quite frankly one of the most miserable, disgusting hotel/hostel experience I have ever had! The room looked like something from the 1970s, the ceilings and walls filthy and the shared bathroom was disgusting - mouldy walls and... More

The room was moldy and the toilets were extremely dirty. The service was poor -- the owner didn't even bother to serve breakfast during the indicated breakfast time. To anyone thinking of staying at the Aylesbury Lodge -- don't! It was the worst experience of my life.

I stayed here on business as I wanted somewhere close to Addenbrookes Hospital - which in deed this 'hotel' was. However that is the only positive thing I can say. It was dirty, the staff unfriendly, it was noisy and all in all a thoroughly unpleasant stay was had! I woke up on the first morning with what looked like... More

For a start the room had a nasty odour hence Pee the bedding itself smelt feisty like damp washing been left too long before drying it. It was very poor value for money and i wouldn't recommend going there to anyone plus i would never stay there again rather sleep in a tent.
