Myself and some friends went into this pub for some drinks, we all wanted a drink with our food but 2 of our 20 yo friends didn't have their ID and so they weren't served which is fine, that's the law. However they got the other customers to stare at us throughout our entire meal and made us feel very...

Just back from attending a friends party in The Earl of Derby where I stayed with my husband and daughter for the weekend having come over from Ireland...We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and couldn't recommend a better place to stay for value for money, it's very close to the train station and a 15 minute walk brings u to...

We chose The Earl of Derby on the basis of its proximity to the station and competitive rate compared to a lot of places in Cambridge. While it is attached to a pub, the rooms are in a separate extension with its own entrance and there was no noise from the pub once in the room. The staff are friendly...

We stayed at The Earl of Derby for two nights. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Cambridge. There was plenty of free parking and I would recommend you leave the car here and take the walk as parking is quite expensive in the centre of Cambridge. The hotel is basically a pub with a...

Tis is a pub with a extension with all the rooms on 2 floors. There is parking included which is a bonus in Cambridge. The rooms are all on suite and tea and coffee provided. The weekend we stayed was very warm, the rooms had a fan so made sleeping easy. The location is god as on bus route but...

Stayed one night and it was fine. Room was at the lower end of places I have stayed in and only real challenge was that the bathroom sink tap was locked on hot. However it was quiet and conveniently located. Breakfast was quick to arrive and pleasant.

I recently stayed the night here whilst visiting Cambridge and I was looking for a venue near the centre that was not too expensive. This pub with rooms met both criteria and I was very pleased with my stay. The room was clean and tidy, very quiet and we walked into the centre of the city in about 20 minutes....

Stayed here on our road trip through the country. Found it via the internet because we live in Canada and booked online with no problems. Easy to find, reception was very welcoming. Clean and comfortable with free WiFi. The price was very reasonable and included a generous full breakfast. I highly recommend it and would stay there again in a...

The Earl of Derby While having a pint in the Earl of Derby last year we heard the sound of an Irish accent from behind the bar. During the ensuing chat we heard about their B+B. We thought it might be ok for a night. And was it? The rooms are through the pub and down a corridor at the...

Having struggled to find a weekend stay in Cambridge for anything approaching reasonable rates I was glad to have found the Earl of Derby. While still not 'bargain' prices they still compare well to what some other places seem to get away with charging. It is a safe and easy 15 minute walk straight down into the city centre, passing...

Thank you for writing a review of your stay with us over the weekend. I am very glad you did not hear any noise from the bar, we have stopped doing live music for this exact reason, so nice to see its paying off. As to the draining of the shower I will look into this and the weekend staff...
