Stayed here for 3 nights on business, good location right next to the station, a nice bar, clean and decor is great.

We came for one night , the doorman created a great first impression but it did seem the hotel was a little understaffed when we checked in at about 4 o'clock , although we did get upgraded which was great, the hotel was pretty luxurious...More
Visited last month just for an afternoon tea. Room was really nice, was also a sunny day, nice crockery and set up.
Sandwiches felt like were made the day before or had been sat out to long. You get a really good cake selection though,...More
After a not so good experience with a hotel in Cambridge I invested just a little more and it was so worth it.
Calm & beautiful room with all you might need or want and friendly, competent & professional staff!
Visited here with a large group of friends for afternoon tea. We paid £34 for afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco each.

I asked to speak to the manager. I explained that the car park they advise there guests to use for £6 was not available and the next nearest alternative is 10 mins walk and £28, I didn't think that was great and they didn't tell me the station one was closed until I got here and found out for myself. He explained they have no control over car parks as they don't run them. I explained I understood that but they could have pro actively emailed me to let me know and I would have had a choice of cancelling my booking and gone elsewhere or decided to still come to this hotel knowing that I would pay more. I suggested he hadn't allowed me to make that choice and asked what he would do to compensate given the size of my biff for hotel, restaurant and meal. After some deliberation he knocked some drinks off my bill as "a gesture of goodwill". Hope that helps.
