My daughter booked this place for her wedding reception months ago. Having had no respose to emails, she took the menu choices in and checked all was well three weeks before the wedding and everything was confirmed as OK. As her parents, we though we would also pay a visit three days later only to find a notice that they...

On Sunday 28 June we had a confirmed booking for my father's 91st birthday lunch. We spoke to the restaurant on Thursday to reconfirm our booking. Fifteen people arrived from London in the car park and we were met by some other 'guests' who informed us that no one was at the Three Horseshoes. They also had bookings for lunch....

Booked a weekend getaway here for my girlfriend's birthday and couldn't have been happier! The room was lovely - vintage inspired decor and very cosy. The food was also wonderful - interesting and inventive dishes with excellent quality ingredients. I must also make special mention of the staff. They were fantastically friendly, considerate, accommodating and helpful to a fault, and...

Birthday visit, two of us. All in all it was fine. Not exceptional but good location, good enough food, pleasant rooms and quiet at night. I suppose I'd expected even better, especially for the food - it didn't seem Michelin one star level, although good ingredients, simple recipes, nicely presented. Service patchy. Young waiter and waitress very professional , but...

Located down a single track country lane The Three Horseshoes is in a very scenic location and I was fortunate enough to be there on a spectacular morning with great views over the valley from the restaurant. Room was very comfortable even if some of the doorways upstairs are very low so watch your head! I never had dinner as...

I booked a table for two for Monday 25th May and paid my £20 deposit online. Upon arriving at the Three Horse Shoes the location is stunning and the building and grounds itself excellent. I was surprised upon entering the restaurant that there was only one other table full. We were seated and were given the menu's by a nervous,...

It was a nice drive down a long country road to pub which was easy to find with a sat nav, all be it a bit of a bumpy narrow road only big enough for one car. The pub area was cosy and the dining room looked nice although we didn't have time to eat. We were shown to our...

Just stayed at the Three Horseshoes for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The inn is comfortable and welcoming with very good food and choice of wines for dinner, and lovely fresh fruit (plus "full English" of course) at breakfast. The views from the garden are outstanding, rolling Chiltern hills and lots of brilliant walks to do right outside...

On more then one occasion, we stayed at the Three horseshoes or had dinner in the restaurant. The last time, we booked one of the garden rooms. The french doors offers great views of the surrounding hills and the pond, with a half sunk, red phone booth in the middle. Both, dinner and breakfast, are a treat for taste. The...

Stayed here for a week, very quiet, I had a garden room with a decking overlooking the duck pond, room was clean and warm, bed comfortable. Only drawbacks, a small tv and no wifi in the room, but the views made up for both. Can't remember having such a peaceful nights sleep.
