Great welcome and shown to the room. Nice enough if a tad warm. Had to turn the thermostat down. Comfy bed slept v well. Came to shower and thought that’s an interesting looking ash tray on the shower floor. One dead shower head. Staff were great - gave me key to another room so I could shower. Sorted quickly with no fuss. Breakfast great and service v friendly then. Lovely old building with lots of character. Will stay again - thanks guys.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at The Broad Leys from my husband and I, we booked ‘The copper room’ for our 35th wedding anniversary and we were made to feel so welcome, when they realised the reason for our over night stay we had complimentary champagne cocktails...perfect! It was a Sunday so we ordered the Roast beef lunch, our only quibble was the slices of carved roast beef were quite ‘rare’, didn’t bother me but my husband struggled a bit, but it was still delicious The room itself was spotless, the bed was a bit creaky but comfortable, but oh my word! that copper bath was just wonderful, lots of hot water and huge HUGO BOSS fluffy towels to wrap up in after Tea and coffee facilities in the room with milk and bottled water in the fridge, we had the full English breakfast in the morning which was hot and tasty We highly recommend this little gem of a boutique b&b Again thank you so much to all the staff for spoiling us 🥰…
Lovely pub with high standard rooms - very unique and quirky. One night stay, ate in the restaurant, breakfast before departure. Three rooms booked for family, food and service was excellent. Great atmosphere Friday night in the restaurant, busy but good service. Sarah-Jane was brilliant - her recommendations and banter really made our evening - thank you!
Stayed one night, in room 1, on the 8th. Room was clean, everything needed was supplied, bed was comfortable and warm, staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional, the whitebait was tasty with a delicate coating, the fillet steak was awesome and cooked to perfection (medium rare), and the cheeses board was ample. Could not fault the hotel in any way, a bit noisy at night but that was not the fault of the hotel but inconsiderate other guests slamming doors. We shall return!
Checked in for one night on business. I had the white room which although small was beautifully appointed and more than adequate for my needs. The little touches make all the difference. A teapot in the room and fresh milk and water in the fridge. The shutters meant that although the room faced the road it was quiet and restful. The service on both the evening and morning was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be my first choice in Aylesbury
