What a beautiful place! We stayed in room 7, the decor was pure class - perfect for a night away. Everything about the stay was relaxing, especially the option to have breakfast in bed delivered (which was delicious). I've read in previous reviews about parking issues, but did not experience this. There was always a space along the road outside,...

A stylish place in an excellent location. The room was great, comfortable and stylish and the staff just right. If I happen to be back in Bristol again, I will definitely stay at Number Thirty Eight. Recommended.

Bristol is a great City, buzzing with energy, literally hundreds of great places to eat and drink and full of friendly, upbeat people. The hotel occupier a great location on Upper Belgrave Road, at the top of Blackboy Hill with views over the Clifton Downs. It is a 20 minute walk into Clifton Village and similarly down to Whiteladies Road...

Stayed here with friends. Everything was really well done. The decor is understated & elegant. The rooms are well equipped & the beds are more comfortable than my V-spring at home. Breakfast is fresh & very well cooked. The service is helpful, polite & cheerful. Well done Number 38!

This was a surprise for our anniversary. It certainly has the wow factor. On arrival we were buzzed in. The place is immaculate. We were on the top floor, the stairs are steep but banisters sturdy. We were in a fabulous suite, see piectures. Pannelling painted a beautiful dark blue throughout. There is a selection of drinks in the mini...

I used to love in Bristol and decided when passing through for one night to meet some old friends that I would splash out on somewhere nice. I booked the West Loft Suite, which was a beautiful room - double aspect with views of the Downs at the front and over the whole of the city out the back. The...

Nice change from big plastic hotels. Lovely rooms; big; comfortable; luxurious; beautifully and cleverly designed. Stylish and chic. No real competition in the Clifton area. Prices have increased sharply for this hotel recently. It is still worth it but is really quite pricey for this area. Excellent breakfast. Nice, friendly staff who are helpful. On-street parking (with a loaned permit)...

Stayed 2 nights with my husband and myself in room 1 which was the East Loft and my son in room 8 which was at the basement level. As others have said, the lofts are huge with views of the park on one side and the city on the other. The loft room was twice the size of the smaller...

When you travel as much as I do, you come to appreciate the finer things in life (and the details). If you are like me then this place is right up your street. I am sick over priced chain hotels with no character and a shove them in, turn the covers and 'that'll do' attitude then Number 38 is somewhere...

My husband and I needed to stay overnight with 24 hours’ notice in Bristol last week and I used the opportunity to stay at a hotel I had admired externally for some time, but had never stayed. Whilst it was no where near the best deal I could get in Bristol at short notice on the usual ‘last minute’ hotel...
