Another Premier League performance at the Chef's Table. Our fifth visit in the last few years and the experience never disappoints or diminishes. Top class food, expertly matched with appropriate wine, what more can you ask for?
Stayed here for one night just before Christmas.
Room very nice and comfy bed.

Been for Sunday lunch, the staff as ever was smart, friendly and a credit to the hotel.
The food was well worth it, plenty on the plate with offer of extra vegetables if required.
The whole experience is a treat

Just had a one night stay. Standard room was standard but fine. We dined in the restaurant and the food and staff were amazing. Reception staff so friendly. Can't comment on breakfast as we had to rush off early but we will return.

The previous answer is correct in that the nearest station is Matlock and then it is bus or taxi. The reviewer who suggested that you could get to Manchester from Matlock had not made allowances for the closures instigated by Dr Beeching in 1966 since the line from Bakewell to Buxton (The Monsal Trail) is now a brilliant walking track with all the tunnels open to make a fascinating experience. The express bus into Buxton and then the train would be the simplest way to get to Manchester. Alternatively the local bus to Sheffield and then the train.
