Lovely place, I loved the decor, very traditional old English pub style. We came here for our honeymoon and were upgraded to a superior room which was nice of them to do. However, we were unpleasantly surprised by just how expensive it all was for what you get. We live in London and the general prices were more expensive for...

Beautifully decorated hotel with good rooms, it is frustratingly close to the main road. The restaurant serves excellent food although the pretension of the chef (I assume) which extends to the waiters, means that the guest's requirements are ignored in favour of what the kitchen deems correct. I asked for bread and it was refused until the food was ready....

Dear 'Jiinx', Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. I am delighted to read of your positive experience I do however note your comments about the road. We do strive to ensure this does not negatively impact on the guest experience with extra glazing and a cleverly designed garden with sound muffling. I was also...

What an old and beautiful hotel. Part of the estate at haddon hall. Our room was so cozy and quiet. My sister requested sheets on her bed and blankets and I requested just a duvet. What service. The water was hot for my bath. Heaven. Would definitely stay here again.

We needed a room for one night as our previous reservation at a B & B fell through. The Peacock welcomed us warmly if a bit expensive for a country lodging. The room was comfortable with a good bed and bedding. The bathroom was small and the shower did not have good pressure. We were too late for lunch but...

For the price we paid (£260) the room was pleasant but rather noisy from the traffic, the bathroom tiny. Breakfast service finishing at 9.30am on a weekend was not customer friendly. We went for breakfast at 9.20am and were clearly hurried by the waiting staff. We expected for the price we paid a top class experience which was lacking.

Nothing presumptuous about this historic inn. Very comfortable beds, large enough room with a cozy bar and quaint restaurant. The staff was very polite and helpful. The price was high but we were in a bind, we walked out on our booked room at the room in a junk yard Hannon Farm B&B. Apparently since Chatsworth is nearby the is...

I booked this hotel for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I visited the hotel website and reserved one of their three 'Special' rooms for the occasion. The cost was £350.00 for dinner, bed and breakfast for a one night stay. When we arrived we were shown to our room (number 3) by the receptionist. I was...

My whole family was staying at this hotel for a wedding. We opted to stay at a cheaper B&B nearby but did so thankfully as the two days we visited the hotel the staff were unfriendly, unwelcoming and quite arrogant. Its a shame as the hotel building and location is beautiful. The kitchen closes at 9pm so we all had...
