I read a lot of reviews before booking an Amazon deal for two nights at The Fat Lamb. The good reviews significantly outweighed the bad, however the bad were stinkers. Delightful stay while passing thorough from Newcastle to Liverpool. Great for the soul. Easy to find and park, great views, nice walking trails and friendly staff. WiFi didn't work too well, but I think I was the only one bothered...

Two night stay in a comfortable front room over looking the car park, very quiet and surrounded by fields, the Inn reminded me of 'Emmerdale' with all the countryside around you. If you haven't come to walk you definitely need a car to get around! Breakfast was fab, lots of choice and staff very efficient and polite with their service,...

We stayed just the one night,having been recommended this lovely pub by friends, we wished we could have stayed longer, it's a very charming, exceptionally clean & welcoming place. We had a wonderful evening meal & breakfast was superb...we will definately return.

Me and my partner have just spent the weekend at the Fat Lamb and it was just lovely, in a nice quiet area , it was nice and friendly , clean and it served really good food , what more could you ask for ,

The Fat Lamb was recommended by our accommodation (Corner of Eden) who provided a discount voucher, which we forgot to use! After a monstrous local ramble we were more than ready for a cold pint and were welcomed through to the beer garden with the dog and tempted by the menu. We opted for a hot baguette which was excellent....

A warm welcome, comfortable room and great bar food and breakfast. The location is excellent for a range of outdoor activities with lovely walks, horse riding and a nature reserve almost on the doorstep.

The hotel is quite remote but set in beautiful surroundings. The interior is full of old world charm in keeping with the age and character of the building. Nice one night at The Fat Lamb my husband myself and our border collie. Nice clean room and bathroom, fluffy white towels, nice toiletries plenty of toilet roll even hand soap(which in the last two establishments i had to go and buy some) Plenty tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits. Ok so it's taken me a while to get round to writing this review we visited the fat lamb at the end of June for two nights with our dog and because we had such a lovely stay I had to make sure i left a review. The staff were freindly an helpful an really made you feel at home....
