Pretty much everything about Libertad Jungle Lodge was 5 stars for us. Starting from the scenic drive from Iquitos and boat ride down the river to reach the lodge, which was coordinated without a hitch on both the arrival and return. We were then delighted to see how beautiful the lodge was and right in a nature setting right on...

If you are looking for an experience in the Amazon rainforest where you can interact with locals and custom plan your own adventure, this is the place to go! My teenage son and I visited the Libertad Jungle Lodge in the summer of 2016. It was the first stop in our two week visit to Peru. We also spent time...

We really enjoyed our stay at Libertad. We were picked up at the airport by our very kind and english speaking guide. From there everything was very well organized. They brought us by taxi, tuktuk and boat to the village. Dinner there was already prepared (you get fresh and full plates 3 tines a day). The room was basic but...

Before describing this fantastic time we had at the Libertad Jungle Lodge, I would like to emphasize the amount of time my father and I spent researching for the "perfect" trip to the Amazon. We researched practically all of the lodges around Iquitos and read all of the reviews. As new explorers to South America, we wanted to fully experience...

Thank you to the entire Libertad crew for making this such a memorable experience! When I originally booked for 4 nights/5 days, I thought it might be too long to spend in the jungle, but I was amazed by how many things there were to do and how quickly time flew by when we were there. Perfect for a true...

Thinking about my time here makes me gleam with happiness. May was the best guide we could ask for making us laugh and feel completely safe. The excursions were well organized and planned. The lodging and food were great and we had a beautiful experience. Trying jungle fruits was awesome. It was nice to see the direct impact the lodge...

We had a great time at the lodge. We only stayed for 3d/2n, but even just that short taster we managed to get a really good feel for the place. The lodge is perfectly set up, by no means the Hilton, but very comfortable. Osman and Teddy, our guides, really knew their stuff, the highlight being the piranha fishing. The...

We stayed 5days/4nights at this great place. The food was excellent, our guide spoke english very well and we did some great activities! No Internet, no electricity (only 3 hours a day) - THAT'S luxus!

We visited Libertad Jungle Lodge by beginning of October, and defenitely it was the time we will never forget. Our guide, Osmar, visited us in our hostel in Iquitos already the day before to discuss all details and answer all questions we had. Next day in the morning we have been picked up and were travelling for about 2 hours...

This trip was absolutely amazing. We saw such a variety of wild life that l never dreamed we would see. Our guide Mai had extensive knowledge and eagle eyes.He could pick out birds, lizards sloths, monkeys that we would never have noticed by ourselves. We went piranha fishing but caught another variety of fish and one day a fish lept...
