We are locals and went on a "staycation", this property felt like we had gone away from home and were really able to relax.
It's a nice place to sit and watch the activity in Brentwood bay, the boats coming and going from the marina and the ferry loading and unloading. The Pub i

We always stay here when we come back to Vancouver Island to visit. The view from an inlet-facing room can't be beat. So peaceful to wake up to nature. Great location for getting to/from the airport, visiting Victoria and Butchart Gardens, as well as Sea Cider and Sidney by th

Hav'nt been to this pub for a few years but decided to meet good friends there on a nice sunny day. Upon entering the pub it was fairly busy and very noisy probably due to the high ceilings and stone floors. This made it very poor for any conversation we wanted to have. Menu was

Gary S, I'm sorry to hear we didn't hit the mark this time around. I hope that your server was notified and able to rectify these issues. Our pub is certainly noisy and I wouldn't recommend it for intimate conversation- perhaps our Dining Room might suit your needs better. I hope that you will give The Pub another chance in the future, or that you are able to find somewhere else that you and your close friends can all enjoy. Regards, Caitlin

Hi-would we be able to get a cab from the Resort to the ferry terminal to take us to Vancouver? Or is there a resort shuttle available for this...?
It's a 20 not 45 minute drive to the ferry. So a taxi would be a great option. There is a bus right on the road out front of the hotel on Brentview drive (hardly a hike from the hotel) but it doesn't go directly to the ferrys you would have to switch at the terminal in Saanichton. No the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle to the ferrys but I think that is more to do with the fact it's a small 33 room boutique hotel than managements ineptitude. Hope this helps more than the rest of the answers lol!!

Can you see the butchart garden fireworks from the hotel? Is there a shuttle to the gardens since there is no uber?
Yes you can see the high ones but it is a very short taxi or bus ride or you could walk there and taxi back as it is an amazing display inside the gardens.

Does your hotel have wheelchair access/lifts inside and outside?
Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. Our property is fully wheelchair accessible, with an elevator inside the building to access each of our three floors and an outdoor ramp that connects our parking lot to the main Pub entrance. Our Dining Room is off of the main lobby, which is fully accessible on the main floor of our building. We have one fully wheelchair accessible guest room. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out - Frances, Marketing Coordinator

Where is the best place to exchange US dollars for Canadian dollars? Typically, how much do people exchange?
Hello Hannah C, My recommendation is to exchange money at your own bank before travelling to Vancouver Island. Your bank may offer a better exchange rate/less fees. Alternatively, you can exchange money at a currency exchange location downtown Victoria, BC. In regards, to the amount it really depends on how long you will be travelling for and how much cash you think you would need. Most places accept major credit cards including hotels, restaurants, taxi services etc. You could also visit Tourism Victoria website to help plan your next trip. I hope you find this information helpful. Regards, Gina

How easy is it to get into Victoria?
From Vancouver, there is a ferry that runs regularly (about 1.5 hours). From Seattle there is both a slow ferry and a high speed ferry. There are also seaplanes that fly into downtown Victoria harbor and regular planes that fly into Victoria airport (code is YYJ). From the hotel, to get into downtown is pretty easy by car. Victoria also has pretty good public transportation (busses), but it would be best to call the hotel to see what the schedules are.
