The hotel does overlook the old mill which is why there is heritage. The building itself is very historic and interesting. The room was clean and neat. It seems that new owners have taken over and are slowing working on the building. Breakfast was included. The location was very convenient for us being close to the brewery. We were traveling... We stayed at the Rodmay before starting the SCT. Yes, it is an older hotel, but it is clean, the complimentary breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were friendly. It is apparently haunted, but we didn't have any issues. The pub and restaurant are not open, but the liquor store is. Great value for the price, plus if you... More

The room in the hotel was clean considering it is more than 100 years old. And the price was definitely right but it left something to be desired. The popcorn ceilings and walls were sure interesting and the lighting was very poor. The furnishings were super random and the "heritage" title just seemed like an excuse to not update the... More

I was disappointed as they charged me an extra $15 to have my very clean small dog(6lbs) in the room overnight. AND designated me a very shabby room as I had a pet and they allow pets only in two shabby rooms. On the plus side it was spotlessly clean..not easy when the place and furnishings are as old as... We really enjoyed our stay. An older building with dated fixtures (old huge box TV), but it was clean and comfortable. Grand staircase to the rooms from the huge main lobby. Room view looked interior of the building, which is not exciting, and could see into other rooms, but with the blinds you can block the view and still get... More

We stayed here after a few days of backcountry camping. The room was clean, not super fancy but perfect for our one night stay. I was worried it may get a little warm overnight, but we kept our window open and it was fine. This hotel is fairly old, but it was something different and for $60, we didn't mind.

When we drove up to the entrance, which is at the back of the hotel, our first impression was that we had made a terrible mistake, from the street it looked like an old rooming house. Inside, the lobby and halls are in much better shape, wood panelled walks, old light fixtures, and historic photos of the hotel and townsite.... More

Quaint 2star hotel in the older part of town. Near the mill which didn't bother us at all. Felt a little bit like going back in time and loved the historic aspect. Small rooms clean and bright, lovely wooden floors. Friendly, helpful staff. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

This hotel has very clean rooms, but don't expect super fancy. This hotel is very old built in 1913ish. It is in need of a restoration. The housekeeping staff are totally awesome! We had some problems with water pressure, had to run the hot water for 15 min before it got hot for a shower. If your a historic building... More

We were warmly welcomed by the gracious owners and staff. On check in we were given a walking tour map of the original town site. I recommend this walk as it was very interesting and we learned a lot about the origin of Powell River. Our room was kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The WIFI worked... More
