Despite the incredibly small room, this is a one time must see/do. Incredible view, good food and great service. Afternoon tea is awesome. Mama bear and three Cubs came within 40 yards of the hotel providing hundreds of memorable photos.

We spent two nights at this historic hotel. Keep in mind, this hotel was built in the 1920s and retains most of its original form for all of the good and bad that this entails. It has a lot of rustic charm and historic character, so if that's what you enjoy, then you will love it. It still has original...

We had a beautiful day and informative boat tour of the lakes. The weather was clear and sunny and we had a good time with our group on a seniors bus tour. They provided us with tickets and lunch before we board the boat. The boat was full and the staff were informative of the surrounding and mountains, which was...

Upon arriving, 4 Mountain Sheep were on the bluff between the hotel and the lake. We called them our welcoming committee. They did not show up again during the rest of our stay. The 6th floor room shook when the wind was really strong in the night. This was a bit unnerving but we did manage to get back to...

I want to make it clear this review is based purely on the room and does not reflect on the hotels wonderful position, or its pleasant staff. We booked a 6th floor Value Lake View double room for 2 nights. Number 609. I have stayed in many different places all over the world and this has to be the worse...

We went to the hotel just to look at it and to view the scenery. We drove there and itw was well worth the trip. We couldn't afford to stay or eat there but it was fine. We wanted to see the inside anyway and to look at the views. We weren't disappointed at all. The inside of the hotel...

After a very cold boat ride we decided to have lunch at Prince Of Wales Hotel dining room - we had to wait, but it was worth it. Charming hotel. Wait staff dressed in plaid kilts - very friendly. We started with potato leek soup - thick and creamy. I had the Shepherds pie - filled with meat and vegetables...

You can hear everything in the rooms next to you! The place is old and not well insulated, so you hear your neighbors! So if you are a screamer or like to make the bed creak, you will have an audience! On the other hand, the guys in kilts were very nice and could not to more to be helpful....

It was quiet an experience and I must say one should stay here to understand the feeling. And if I will go back there I will definitely stay here again. If you like staying in hotels like peninsula or fairmont this is not a place for you. But to experience Waterton it's not the same if you don't stay here....

Your first view of this hotel is stunning. It's on a rise overlooking the lake, with the mountains in the background. It was a beautiful sunny day when we arrived and it was breathtaking. We'd been planning this trip for months and were so excited to be here. And then you walk in and are immediately met by that view...
