We found this to be a friendly hotel with good accommodation and a great view over the harbour from the room and balcony. It's a little out of town but it is quite a nice walk into the centre. There is also a nice walk up river to the salmon hatchery. This was one of our favourite hotels on our...

We stayed here 4 nights and had booked a large room with 2 beds and Jacuzzi tub. I can tell you that the room was large, clean and had a great view. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Although the bathroom was very tidy and clean there were several plumbing issues. The Jacuzzi tub didn't work...

We loved our stay at the Glen Lyon Inn...especially the amazing views! Colleen photographed two Bald Eagles sitting on a pole just outside our room. ALL rooms overlook the water but the 2nd and 3rd floors have patio doors and balconies. There is a modern elevator for easy mobility. As you pull into the parking lot, the place doesn't look...

A lovely motel on the edge of town, close to the ferry and the airport which was perfect for us. We arrived late at night from the ferry, which wasn't a problem, to a friendly welcome and had a big room looking over the harbour. The bathroom was great and the room very comfortable. Service was friendly & there was...

My new bride and I had just been married and decided our honeymoon would involve exploring Vancouver Island. So we headed north and ended up in Port Hardy. Not knowing where to stay we just happened to stumble across the Glen Lyon. We had a look at their honeymoon suite and we were a bit shocked to find out it...

From the outside this place looks like a little bit of a run down hotel... but the rooms are amazing! They'll surprise the hell outta you, I guarantee it. Each room offers a view of the inlet where you can see an awesome tide display if you sit and watch. The water completely rolls out of it. The restaurant there...

The rooms are spacious and well appointed with all amenities you would ever need. Comfy beds great views of the harbour and you could fish right off the balcony at high tide. Bathroom was very clean and lots of hot water. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the elevator was a boon for us older folk. The restaurant served...

I stayed at the Glen Lyon for four nights for business purposes. The room was super clean and comfortable. The view is amazing. When the staff cleaned my room one day, they took the second needed to turn my almost-empty hand cream upside down to make he cream fall to the bottom. That kind of consideration doesn't happen all the...

We were very pleasantly surprised by our room at the Glen Lyon. We only stayed a night after returning from a lodge and it had everything we needed. Nice enough bathroom, large bedroom, decent tv channels. The view out over the harbour was great, at low tide bald eagles were right in front of the hotel feeding on the mudflats....
